Summer Challenge?

Hi everyone!

I know there isnt really many people in the calorie counting part of the forum but i just wondered if anyone would be interested in taking part in a summer challenge?

I was thinking it lasting about 3 months, until July, does that sound reasonable? My weigh in day is on a Tuesday so will put my first weight loss down next week from this week. I was thinking to start from next week with first weight loss (W/C 19th April) until 3 months later (W/C 19th July) which gives us exactly 14 weeks to get bikini ready for the summer :)

if anyones interested then please just pop you name on the list and how much your hoping to lose.

As its 14 weeks and i have a lot of weight to lose i am aiming for 2stone (28lb) which would be a sensible loss of 2lb a week.

This challenge would really benefit me as i love getting motivation from others so i would love it if you would join me :)

Yeah calorie counting for me too!

Not daily excercise yet as i have massive Uni commitments at the minute due to it been the end of the year! But when i finish in 3 weeks i will be trying to excerice every day as i have a monthly gym membership :)

heya i'd like to join too, if i lose 2 stones that would be great, 2lbs a week ia what i'm aiming for, any more than that would be great.

me toooo! i'll go for 2lb a week also so 2 stone all together, although ive only started today so my first weigh in will be next thursday!

I'm doing calorie counting but don't often wander down here to this board - I just forget about it because it's so quiet!

My weigh in is on a friday so my final weigh in for this would be the 23rd July - Which us the day I graduate! If I can manage to lose another 28lbs by then that would be amazing!

Excellent! Welcome aboard sugar! It will be amazing to have your final weigh in on the day you graduate, how exciting! :)

For all of us i think 2 stone in 14 weeks is definitely achieveable :) & i know that we can all do it!

I'll join you on this, if I may? I'm calorie counting too...sort of! I try to keep under my limit but as I'm exercising a lot, I'm not too rigid about it.

I'm actually going on hols next month and it's a bit late to achieve anything drastic in that timescale; but having a target of July will hopefully help keep me on track for my next holiday in September.

I may not weigh in for a few weeks as I have just started a programme of resistance/weight training and my trainer has warned me that I will likely see an increase on the scales initially as I build muscle but I should still see that I am losing inches...having trouble getting my head around this because, although I understand the science behind it, I'm ingrained to believe that in order to know that I'm losing weight, the numbers on the scales should be decreasing.

I'm starting this challenge at 18 stone 3 lbs and I'd like to be below 17 stone by July - anything more would be fantastic but I just don't know what to expect on the scales when the effects of my weight training start to kick-in.

Yeah, stick me down for 21lbs. Sounds like a lot when you say it like that though! A stone and a half sounds infinitely more do-able :D

Hiya!! I would love to join! I need a challenge to keep me focused and on track as I am bloody useless at losing weight the hard way!!

I want to lose 12lbs by 31st July! My wedding!! I have bought the biggest loser wii game and worked up a sweat doing it earlier so my plan is to do at least some exercise every day!! And keep my calories to around 1200!!
