Hey Jessie, try weight watchers itll be better for your IBS, too much protein maybe why you get pain too, plus the atkins isnt a very healthy diet, if u need help with anything, let me know and ile try n help xxxxx

Hey girls,

Just a wee thought, have any of you tried corn pasta instead of the usual pasta. Since I quit wheat I'm not bloated at all! Might work for all you too xx

Claire maybe he offered Frances the colonoscopy to rule out other disorders like colitis, my doctor said the only way they can diagnose IBS is to rule out everything else xx

TBH not a clue.. Soon as he said that word I told him unless it was life r death I wasn't having it!!!
So he told me to take senekot twice a day, milpar twice a day AND drink 3 fibre drinks (the name escapes me but they're in an orange n white sachet) a day until "things moved"
Doctors over there tho Claire are pants!! About 10 years ago now my sister in law was having awful stomach cramps.. Doc never done any testing just gave her a prescription n sent her on way.. 3 days later she was rushed to hospital by ambulace n had to hav emergency surgery as she had had (was having) an eptopic pregnancy.
Then am sure ya'v read about my Mam being diagnosed as having a cist on her head, for us only to find out a few months later she had cancer on her brain!! (she'd had a fall n a lump formed on her breast. And as her Mam died of breast cancer was getting that checked in the hospital. While doing the tests they found it was lung cancer. She admitted the next day to find it had spread from there and was in her stomach, bowels, bones n brain. The lump was the cancer... She died 6 weeks later!!

Fybogel? My Dad has to use that too. Tempted to try it myself as I'm dying with pains this week (TMI... sorry lovelies) :(

It's so sad about your Mum hon... life is so unfair sometimes. *hugs* xx

Thanks girls.. It was obviously an awful time for us all but it was a blessing in disguise.. She wasn't sick at all really.. Apart from after she had some treatment.. And with cancer it can lead to an horrid time of pain and suffering.. And she died at home.. Was very peaceful.. So was as 'nice' as it could have been..

Must've been an awful shock for herself too though. I cant imagine how I would feel in the same scenario! She must've been a brave one :) x

Youngs admirals pie is a surprising 8 points. Considering 2 of the main ingredients are potato and cheese, I thought that was pretty good!

Yes, was in tears wen u told me :( Very sad :( and ohhh myyyyy, an ectopic pregnancy, very risky - what an idiot to just send her away, atleast say to visit a&e for a better look at her tummy  scary stuff ..... oh honestly, i tend to try and get a second opinion these days (esp as i work with many rubbish docs) god some of them, wouldnt no a mouth from a bum hole ... honestly, its true what they say - behind every doc is a nurse saving their ass ........ ... (ive done that a few times) xxxxx

Ive tried fybogel and gag everytime i drank it, took me about an hour once to get one glass down ... ooohhhhhh! .. Frances, you can buy 'buscopan' on the shelf ... that should hopefully help your stomach cramps xxxxx

I had to double take, as usually they write the nutritional value for a quarter but this is for half the pizza, which was 6 points or somethin ... and 14 for the lot  you could add some ham & veggies ... for an extra point ... BARGAIN !!

Another find ....

Birdseye chicken tikka masala curry & rice from the freezer ... only 10 pp  !!!!! (i payed £1.15 from Tesco too, so even cheaper than ww, and prob tastes a hell of a lot better)
