Surprising or shocking pro-point finds....

Excellent, they sound similar to the Hodgins sausages I used to get in Centra but they seem to have stopped getting them. Gonna look out for these :) x

Yup roll on tomorrow :0)

OK.. So i've done some sausage research.. no giggling.. hee hee
Here's what i've found...

Truly Irish Premium Sausages - 8pp per 100g (284cals)
Rudd's sausages - 8pp per 100g (285cals)
Mallon Sausages - 9pp per 100g (309cals)
Hodgins Gluten Free Sausages - 9pp per 100g (309cals)
Galtee Sausages - 10pp per 100g (344 cals)

With this I have also found the divide the cals by 40 isn't as accurate as i've believed it to be.. If you do on each of the above.. its gives 1pp less each time :( Hmm... So just always double check things when you get so you don't cheat yerself :)
Happy sausage eating y'all...

The low fat hodgins are only 3pp per 100g (130cals). Definitely keep an eye out. Maybe we can ask the centras to get them in, my local _sometimes_ has them!!

29g per sausage. I haven't seen them in a week or two now actually :(

They do Mallons sausages/meatballs etc. in the Dunnes near here. I'm lucky in that I work in Monaghan & the _actual_ Mallons butchers is there so I'm gonna head there for my sausages from now on I think!

Oh that's good isn't it.. do they taste low fat Sarah???
I've never noticed mallon's tbh.. But I have been looking for the hodgins low fat ones since u mentioned them here yonks ago.. I always see the "normal" ones but never low fat.. :(

I think they taste fine. Just like a normal sausage. I don't like the WW sausages so finding them was a godsend at the time but they've disappeared again. The mallons ones have like a red & black packaging, I've seen them in the big supermarkets :)

Yea on their site they're black n red and on tesco.ie they're back n red.. But in the WW mag they're blue and red... Hmmm... The have Low Fat written on a window in the shape of a perfect figure... And a picture of a feather under the pic of the sausage.. So maybe the ones I pointed earlier on the tesco website NV's aren't the LF ones after all... hmm...

Where'd you get them hon? Lemme know if they're nice :) I just pointed mine as 1pp each as the weight of each sausage was around 30g. Sure weigh a sausage and see!

Gig them in dunnes. Had picked up the Mallon ones but the ones I got were EUR3 something for 12... N the Mallon ones were 6 for EUR2.20..... Will weigh n see. Prob is 1 each which is good still considering its 4pp for 2 Denny skinless

Bought some of the new WW sicilian lemon and elderflower cordial in Asda yesterday. Was actually really nice and refreshing. £1 a bottle too.

i work in superquinn and we sell hodgins pudding pretty sure i've seen the sausages ,i'll check next time im back in and report back:) also the superquinn low fat sausages are 2pp each and fairly big...they're also soo yummy!
