Susie's 2022 campaign

Yeah they've been brilliant - really settled back in beautifully.

Well it was blooming freezing out there this morning!!!! Took me ages to defrost the car....but got one big job done first thing so i'm happy :).

Out for dinner tonight at a friend's place, must pick up some mince pies on the way.

I went to make mince pies but have no flour. Husband was shopping and said he couldn't find any in the supermarket....well he is only a man.

Morning all

Gone very quiet in here, but I'll keep chattering away to myself :). All good, in at work but we're mainly busy eating posh chocolates from corporate sponsors.

Working tomorrow, got two days off, then back in for three, then got EIGHT days off woohoo! No plans to go away but I might go for a day trip down to the coast.

Great read, well done. I teach cookery to adults and children with Down Syndrome and it is so much more than the actual cooking.

Woohoo to posh chocolates. they taste extra good at Christmas!

Your job sounds amazing, and I am so glad it is working out. Seems coming back to the UK was the right thing to do!

I had a carrot cake choc from Hotel Chocolat - quite possibly the best one I've ever had!

And thanks @buffy3256 it really has been great being back. I love the job - got a bit quiet, then all kicked off with a Government statement so been busy responding to that. It's never the same from one day to the next :D.

I am knackered! Went to Aldi for cat food, came out £70 poorer with lots of bad stuff - and omg the people! Grocery shopping three days before Christmas...I need my head examined! Got some lovely French gin though mmm :).

French gin??? I though London Gin was supposed to be the best. I don't drink gin.

Agree about the shopping, I've to brave it tomorrow.

Evening all - just from a not too busy day, and was mentally all ready to close the door and go "Right that's it for four days" but they really need help in the warehouse tomorrow so I'm going in to help with the phones.

Then I can relax :).

Do you have hard surfaces or carpet. Either way I have the gadget you need. I don't do floors, it aggravates my back and Darling husband always did them. But he hurt his back in a car accident and no can't do them either so bought three gadgets to do them. Downstairs we have all tiles. He bought a small automatic sweeper. Sit it on the floor, press the button and off it goes sweeping in circles and keeps going until it runs out of power. Just empty it, plug it in and its ready to go again about 4 hours later. Then we also have a floor washer. Add clean water and cleaning fluid and turn it on. This one has a sensor and works its way around the whole floor. Its not great at scrubbing heavy dirt but perfect for using every day to keep the floor clean. Finally upstairs we have a mix of carpet and wooden floors and have a fully automatic hoover. It has a docking station that it charges at and at preset times heads off and Hoover's the floors, docks itself and recharges. You just have to remember to empty it.

:DA gadget that washes the floor sounds lusher than lush! Needing one of those X

Amazing articles Suzie, you must be well chuffed being involved in it..big well done to everyone.
Re the cordless Hoover..if you find a good one let me know! I've bought 3 this year and all rubbish..including a dyson that was £245:eek: I'd like one like my granny had that would practically lift the carpet let alone the dog hair:D
Any plans for your time off? X

Afternoon!

@Tibbs I got a Morphy Richards Supervac Deluxe 3 in1 Cordless Vacuum 734050. They are 170-ish on Am but I got one for 70 on eBay and it's fab, on laminate at least.

And we're back in the Telegraph again today, a good mention in an interview with Dave Lewis, head of Tesco - and a lovely Christmas film - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/christmas/2017/12/22/feed-uk-christmas-charity-film-telegraph/ - the film won't run in Chrome for some reason...

Now time to relax :). No plans - except for eating, drinking (a bit), reading, watching tellie and cuddling with the furbs xx

Stopping 13.5 tonnes of food being binned is marvellous. Are all the articles your PR?

I laughed when you were on about dust bunnies..our kitchen keeps getting full of them. I used to set Emily off catching them like Bert & Ernie when she was little. Came in handy having a granddaughter who wanted to be a cleaner when she grew up :D
BTW, emailed you x

Are all the articles your PR?

The articles are coming out of the fact that the Telegraph chose us as one of their Christmas appeal charities, but I've been selling in the case studies, so lay claim to some of it :). We want to get much more food - 270,000 tonnes of good food is wasted. If any of you can be bothered, there's a petition to ask the Government to give companies the same incentives to give us the food that they currently get for taking it to energy plants - https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/204156

Tesco boss Dave Lewis has done interviews out today declaring they will be waste free by the end of 2018, and mentioned us - so I've just set up the boss with an interview on 5 Live - no rest for the wicked :D.

Well I've had a lovely lazy day, enjoyed a little afternoon zzz, and just thinking about dinner now. Don't ask - whatever I end up having, it'll be bad!

Morning all

No sleep in for me today - we've got a big call to action for the Government in the Telegraph again (front page, I believe, but not seen the actual paper yet) - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...d-set-15m-fund-divert-surplus-food-charities/ - and got calls in from radio from early - so the boss has done TalkRadio and is going to do a couple of others shortly :). So chuffed with the article - even the Mail picked it up! And another one due tomorrow.

Morning!

Back at work but gasp - no heating! It's so cold, I've still got my coat on...am seriously considering doing star jumps to keep warm (lol not!).

Carby day today, toast for brekkie but I'm slowly emptying the cupboards/fridge at home of all the bad stuff, in readiness for the big 2 Jan HFLC kickoff!

Later - i am SO bored! There's three of us here, instead of loads, and I've run out of urgent things to do - and can't be bothered to start any of the non urgents....fell asleep before and woke myself up with a little snorty snore :D

Morning - just me again, rattling around on my own in my cold diary :).

Freezing cold outside this morning, slightly better in the office and a few more people in, but we've all still got coats and hats on!

I'm getting the wobbles about low carb. TBH what really worries me is all the food that comes in to work - I could probably eat for free and never have to do another supermarket shop again, apart from loo paper and cat food! Today the fridge is full of toasted sandwiches, and there are cakes and cookies galore. And bread. there's always bread! I know I'm not going to be able to resist it and I really don't know what to do - but i have to do something...
