Morning!

Just thought I'd introduce myself and say helloooo!

I'm not new to dieting as did Cambridge 6 years ago and lost over 10 stone. I've put 3 stone back on over the last couple of years so decided I'd give SW a go as the thought of starving myself again doesn't appeal much!

I'm loving it so far and the only concern I have is that I'm not really using my syns - will this slow me down? Out of the last 5 days, I've used about 3 or 4 a day other than Sat night when I had 16 and they were used on vodka! I'm not missing anything yet so don't really want to eat for the sake of it as I'm filling up on fruit.

I'm loving the site and can't wait to try some of the fab recipes I've seen!

Welcome! Don't know about not using syns, but I would recommend it as your body then gets used to having the occasional treat and you can still lose the weight.

I found it really easy not to use all my syns to start with - it seems to get harder though :sigh:

My consultant is of the opinion you can save your syns over a week (but I know they do not all say that!) and then blow a lot in one day.

But that is the beauty of SW, it really can be adapted to best fit you and your lifestyle with the red, green or extra easy all with the syns on top!

First few weeks mixed Red and Green, then did some weeks just red/just green and the last 2 weeks tried Extra Easy.

Some goodies I syn: Mayo, Ketchup, Quavers, MiniMilks, Alpen Light (if doing EE and don't have any HEB left). There are many more lovely syns out there :) You may want to have a look at some food diaries above for more ideas.

hi i am about to re join sw after doing ww do you recomend extera easy i used to do mix to match. fat lady

You should really try to use your syns as much as you can. Say for example one week you have hardly any syns and the next week you have the maximum amount, you might find that you have a gain or a stay the same - thats what I have experianced and what my consultant told me anyway. So my advice is that use the syns as much as you can, thats what they are there for! x
