Sweetner

I am allergic to sweetners. Can anyone tell me what to use as substitute in my receipes. Thanks

Are you allergic to all of them? I only ask because I nearly always use xylitol, and when I mentioned it in a previous post, another member posted that they were allergic to other sweeteners, but they could use xylitol. It's not free syn-wise, but it is half the syns of sugar, and as far as I know doesn't have the potentially harmful chemical composition like many other sweeteners do.

It is a similar texture to sugar - granular rather than a powder. You can get it online and in many health food stores.
 
try stevia, it's all natural sweetener from plant. It has been used in Japan for centuries. It's very sweet so you only need a little. There are calorie free versions.

moonwatcher. yes I am allergic to all types of artificial sweetners and i avoid all ready meals as I don't know what they put in them that makes me sick and give really bad tummy. I try to do everything from scratch if I can.
