Syn value

Hi I'm new to slimming world doing from home as I have all the books from a friend and in my third week now does anyone no if it's true that if I use sumthing in my cooking that has a syn value of say 9 syns I'm not gonna eat the whole pot coz it would serve 4 do I half the syn value between 4 portions??

Yes. When cooking, just divide the total syns of the dish by the number of portions it makes. Same applies when you have a large tub of something (e.g. yoghurt) but only have a portion of it.
