The 2-day diet cookbook - not what you expect

I got this from my local library as it appeared on their "new in" list.

It's not the 5:2 fasting diet! This is another diet with 2 days of low carb alternating with 5 days of "normal" eating. Don't be buying this if you're looking for 5:2 down day ideas as you'll be cooking low carb and will probably go over your 500 calorie limit.

The diet is said to be "clinically proven" and has been developed to aid cancer prevention. It does seem a little tricky to me. Unlike the food: if you need a book to tell you how to boil an egg and make soldiers, I suggest you start at Delia. Also, half the book is given over to food for normal days. Eg, food you can eat anytime. Eg. food make from any recipe book you happen to have already. Unless you need help boiling that egg.
 
Hmmmm sounds like it's just as well you got that book from the library, so you're not out of pocket for it!

Trying my first Fast Day this weekend. Keen to get stuck in and see how I fare. :D
