The ramblings of a Cheeky Pasterfield

Finding I'm craving carbs and I'm know auntie Flow is on its way so I'm guessing that's way.

So combat this I'm going for my old faithful SW Chip with Bbq sauce

I try to do it every other time otherwise I would get very resentful lol

Decided to up my steps by stepping on my bottom step sadly though after 10 mins it started squeaking and hubby called out that step isn't going to last long lol

After 10 mins I was sweating so I've now argued for a step machine lol

I've got my steps upto 11,116

Morning all,

Hope you are all well :) What are your plans?

Today Hubby has had to go into work today and hes not sure when he'll get back :(

My parents are popping over and I'll need to get some lunch. So I'm going to leave the car at home and the girls and I will walk up to the local shops. I love the local butcher and bakers so we'll have a lovely fresh lunch :)

Kids want fish fingers for dinner this evening so that's them sorted but I haven't got Hubby and I sorted :( I am thinking of trying out a homemade curry. I've got the Hairy Bikers Dieters books so might have a flick threw :)

Make sure you don't get blown away lol

This year I'm going to try and make new recipes. I did a simple pasta sauce which included grated carrot. That went down well and the Weetabix cake I made yesterday hubby really liked :)

Ooo

They are lovely. I'd call it more a flapjack.

It's called Lemon and Sultana Slices and makes 16 but I did 14

6 Weetabix crushed
125g plain Wholemeal flour
50g desiccated coconut
100g running honey
2 eggs
100g Sultana
125g low fat spread (i used clover lighter than light)
40g Icing sugar
Zest of Lemon and 2tsp of Lemon juice

Preheat oven to 180/fan 160/gas 4.

Line a baking tin

Combine the Weetabix, flour, coconut, honey, eggs, Sultana and melted spread together.

Press into the tin and bake for 20 mins or until golden.

Let it cool down and whilst it's cooling mix the icing sugar and lemon juice.

Once totally cooled drizzle over the icing and scatter the zest.

It tastes lovely, has a gooey texture. As it's over 14/16 you could use your HEB for the Weetabix and then only need to syn some of the ingredients. Can't see it being too high

Hi, thought I'd sub :)
