Thrown away the scales ....

    .... well popped them in a cupboard anyway!

    I'm just so fed up of having my happiness determined by a number on a machine every morning.

    I'm going to follow the Slimming World plan, exercise as much as possible and TRY to forget how many weeks are left till my wedding and how many pounds I therefore have to lose each week until then. It's not helping me lose weight and it's just making me miserable.

    Now as a very committed once a day weigher this is a massive step for me .... does anyone else not weigh at all, or very infrequently just to get an idea of how they're progressing?

    I need reassurance that this will not in fact be counterproductive and send me straight to the cream cake aisle of my local supermarché!

    I've done the same this week! I found myself weighing in religiously every morning and it was getting me down when they STS! I've hidden them in the bedroom - all the rooms upstairs are carpeted so I can't be tempted to use them - I'll only use them in the kitchen where it's a solid floor!

    I am so nervous about WI on Sat because another STS will kill me, but I will just have to wait and see. I was very tempted to go and get them earlier but no, I (WE!) can hold out until WI!!

    if you are weighing everyday you will see a lot of fluid changes rather than actual weight loss/gain

    do you go to a group also? if not then just weigh yourself once a week to make sure your still on the right track.

    also since your exercising it may be worthwhile measuring yourself as you can get an inch loss without a loss on the scales since muscle weighs more than fat. but again just once a week rather than everyday

    im sure you will look fab in your dress!

    i just weigh mid week , not sure why just habbit, i could go without i guess, but i like a sneaky peek
