Guys just checked my diary from start Jan til last weigh in on Friday and have lost two pound since Jan...it was three pound at one point but went back to two. Think am becoming obsessed. Woke up hungry, feel myself checking calories of even the free things. I am 5ft and weigh 8st 10lb a nd want to be 8st. Am I taking it too far...should I start back excercise? Food is takin over my life..my jeans felt looser last week but the scales are frustrating me. If I don't try follow sw I end up eating anything and everything. What do I do?

You don't really have much left to lose. I'm 5ft 2ins & my target weight is 8st 9lbs which is where I feel comfortable at. However at the mo & 9st & need to lose 2lbs to get back in target. I feel like I follow the plan properly but it's not coming off.

I do keep a food diary & until last week I hadn't really looked at it. My C asked for my food diary & before I gave it her I took a look & could see each day I have 2 Activia 0% yogurts & apples. I have found recently I've been bloated. So now I've changed my yogurts & stopped eating apples. Hopefully we'll see a change soon.

If food is taking over you're life then yes you are taking it too far. I'd say relax, follow the plan & the weight will come off eventually.

Thanks for your reply. Just seems since Friday am constantly worried about what I eat, how much etc and finding myself hungry cos I don't have any fruit with me today but don't want have anything that's not going help my loss such. Sure i will come out this mind set..don't want to take it too far. On one hand am eating til satisfed but then hungry in between. Am prob hindering my weight loss but sick of scales not moving. Good luck to you x

You definitely need to relax a bit hun. You are already at what most people would consder to be a healthy weight (I know this is a very personal thing though, so hope me saying that doesn't upset you, which will make it more difficult to loose. Do YOU think your target weight is realistic?

Regardless, I would be focusing less on the calories in what you are eating and more on just following the plan. If you are hungry - eat something. You should not need to worry about how many calories are in it if its a free food. You feeling hungry is your bodys way of telling you it needs some fuel. You wouldn't drive your car on empty would you? You can't expect your body to run on empty either.

Thanks kingsled. Good analogy about the car. Yes feel myself getting caught up in it and no am not sure if my target weight is realistic. My last weight prior to having baby was 8st 2lb but I smoked back then and I gained weight then. Once i fell pregnant I shot up. This is the best I have felt about my self since having baby so think a reality check is in order regardless of the scales. It's funny cos up til a while ago I never ever owned scales now my mood and day seems to revolve round them."get a grip" springs to mind. Thanks again x

maybe your body is not able to lose any more and is trying to tell you its not playing. but i do empathise as I know the feeling of pre/post pregnancy weight changes, its traumatic i tell ye!!

It sure is. Am going to do more excercise once my infection is away. Seems the only way I can work towards getting the body I want and stop obsessing that the scales aren't moving. Come Friday am giving my scales to my sister to keep for me until am in a better mind set x
