Reckon its at all likely that I can pull off a 5lb loss next week? Haha! How much of an effect does exercise have? I know you retain water, but I'm hoping the pounds will fall off afterwards! How long do you retain water for usually? x

No idea to be honest? About the water retention.

I've upped my water intake this week and I'm cutting down on the caffeine as well. Trying fruit and green tea for a change, see if it makes any difference.

For the exercise, you may not get any loss the first week. But don't be disheartened by that.

Losing 5lbs in a week? I've managed big losses like that before, don't know how though, if you find out let me know?

My biggest ever loss in a week was 7lbs, but that was the week after a 4lb gain.

I've already been quite active before joining a proper group, so I'm not sure what to expect with the scales :S

The weeks you up your exercise or water could be the weeks your losses are slow, since your body could take a bit of time to catch up.

We had a stand in C last Tuesday night, and she says she doesn't believe the two-week rule at all, that it's rubbish and what you do that week reflects on you that week. I don't believe her one bit. I've had weeks where I've done more and lost less, but lost loads the next week.

Not getting ahead of myself, but my scales say that I've already lost 2.5lbs since Wednesday!! I think they are pretty accurate as they gave the same reading as the SW ones. Found a whole new load of motivation!

yay eventually seen a loss! been exercising for the last few weeks so the weight seems to have slowed down or even stood still! was getting a bit peed off so glad i ve had a loss so i dont go off the rails lol !! challenge seems a bit impossible now though...9 lbs in just over a week lol !!good luck everyone else x
