Hey guys,

So I haven't really been out at all whilst on this plan and I've managed to avoid socialising with food so far but my man is becoming very inpatient and keeps asking when we can go on a proper romantic date again haha. We used to go at least once a week to a restaurant and we haven't been able to in quite a while now and I know he's planning on taking my out for Valentines Day in 9 days and my birthday (24th February) in 19 days.

I'll be on Step 3 for both the events and I'm kind of freaking out thinking about 'cheating' and having to eat out. Anyone got any tips for the types of cuisine it would be ok to eat and don't hinder my weight loss? I'm thinking thai food and italian are definite no no's?

Sushi Trains are really big in Australia so I was wondering if sushi was a healthy option or if the rice is just way too much carbs for Step 3? Or if we went to a restaurant i could get fish or chicken with salad?

Thank you! xxx

I'd use an app that calculates your calories and choose something reasonably low carb. I found that the nicer the restaurant the less carb they serve with their food! Makes a great excuse to be treated!

In general meat or fish with veg us a good option. Stay clear of anything that requires you to have a bowl of rice or noodles or potatoes. Sashimi, french, Indian (no rice or naan but a chapati), Italian can be done but you have to choose from the carne section of the menu. If you can look on the menu online beforehand is do that and so toucan be happy that you made a good choice.

You aren't cheating. Keep an eye on the cals you're having but most importantly try to enjoy eating some delicious food with your husband!

Xxx
