VtV's Food Diary (Taking it one day at a time!!)

It's my first day on Slimming World today, and in an effort to keep on the straight and narrow I'm going to keep a food diary :). It's my first SW class on Wednesday, so I've no idea whether I've got the idea of the HexA and HexB thing, but here goes:

Monday 23rd Nov (Day 1)

Breakfast
2 x Alpen Light (HeB)
satsuma

Lunch
Pasta with courgettes, onions and green beans and 4 Laughing Cow Extra Light (HeA)
satsuma

Dinner
Quorn chilli and spicy potato wedges
Muller Light

Supper
Oatso simple (6.5) plus ss milk (HeA?)

Hi there! Just passing through and thought I'd leave a comment.

On a green day you should have 2 x HEBs and can also have 2 x HEAs if you want. So you're one HEB down yesterday. Youcan also have 6 Lighing Cow Extra Light for your HEA so you're a bit short on that too.

I would also try upping your fruit and veg count and you really need to have a minimum of 5 syns every day, but trying aiming for around 10.

Thanks for commenting on my food diary - I'm struggling to understand HeA, HeB and syn values without the SW bumpf :confused: Here's hoping tomorrow's meeting helps me shed some light on things :)

Tuesday 24th Nov (Day 2)

Breakfast
2 x Alpen Light (HeB)
satsuma

Lunch
Ham salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber), banana, apple, mullerlight

Dinner
Chicken breast stuffed with LC extra light (HeA), jacket potato (HeB??), cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, gravy (3 syns), mullerlight, apple, satsuma

(and 4 chips with curry sauce from Steve's plate - not very supportive of him going to the chippy on his way home from training!)

Supper
Oatso simple (6.5) plus ss milk (HeA?)

Had a horrible day in work :cry:, so my meals have been a bit up in the air today as I couldn't face eating lunch :sigh:


Wednesday 25th Nov (Day 3)

Breakfast
2 x Alpen Light (HeB)
Satsuma

Dinner
Carrot and coriander soup
Omelette with reduced fat mozzarella (HexA)
Muller Light
Melon

(Planned) Supper
Oatso simple (6.5) and milk (as HexA)

Oops, didn't have any Alpen Light left when I got to work, so a bit of a cobbled together breakfast :)

Thursday 26th Nov (Day 4)

Breakfast
muller light, apple

Lunch
Pasta n sauce made with water (1 syn), banana

Dinner
chicken breast (HexB) stuffed with LC (HexA), jacket potato, cabbage, broccoli and gravy (2.5 syns)
Melon, mullerlight

(Planned) Supper
Oatso simple (6.5) with milk (HexA)

Friday 27th Nov (Day 5)

Lunch
Pasta n sauce made with water (1 syn), banana

Dinner
Pasta with quorn sausages in a chunky veg sauce with reduced fat mozzarella (HexA)

Saturday 28th Nov (Day 6)

and here is where it all goes wrong, date night with hubby!!

Breakfast

Bacon, eggs an mushrooms

Lunch
Chicken breast and bacon in a lettuce wrap, mullerlight, satsuma

Dinner
Nando's plain chicken breast with a mixed leaf salad, with regular fries

Pub/After pub
3 double vodkas and diet coke - then 3 slices of toast, one with cheese - naughty but twas nice!

Then this morning I have been to the gym to make reparations and cycled 6 km and walked 1 km.

Sunday 29th Nov (Day 7)

Breakfast
muller light, banana, satsuma

Lunch
Pasta n sauce (1 syn), melon, satsuma

(Planned) dinner
Veggie chilli with Uncle Ben's Express wholewheat rice (2 syns?) and cheese (HeA), melon, apple, muller light

Another blip on the road as I met my friend for dinner and some shopping after work.

Monday 30th Nov (Day 8)

Breakfast
2 x Alpen Light (HeB)
satsuma

Lunch
Pasta n sauce (1 syn), muller light

Dinner
Foccacia with tomato sauce
Pasta in a tomato sauce with courgettes

Back on the straight and narrow today with no evenings out planned in the next week or so, so hopefully I'll be able to have a long run of 100% days :)

Tuesday 1st Dec (Day 9)

Breakfast
2 x Alpen Light (HeB)

Lunch
Pasta n sauce (1 syn), muller light

Dinner
Jacket potato, cheese (HeA) and beans, mullerlight

Is there a reason you are only having one HEA and HEB on your green days?

And if you don't mind me saying but you're hardly eating anything. I'd be chewing my hand off at the wrist if this was all i ate :D

I'm full of cold at the moment, and completely off my food, so hence for the last day or so I've just been eating things because I know I should eat something! Sure my appetite will come back with a vengeance soon :)

With regard to HeA's and HeB's, I'm still unsure about what I can have as healthy extra's as I've still not been able to join the SW class (child care issue last week and feeling poorly this week), so erring on the side of caution :)
