Want to start calorie counting

Hi guys, I want to do it low really, is 1,000 too little?

I've been on dukan for nearly 2 months but I simply cant do it anymore its making me ill

So was wondering if anyone has been losing 2-3 pounds a week and how many calories grams of fat etc people stick to.

Just need some guidance really :)

I have 1200 cals a day - and thats the lowest recommended - I have lost 11lbs in 4
Weeks on this amount an that has included eating back my exercise cals x

I wouldn't advise going too low

I ate around 1000-1100 a day and yes I lost a lot of weight but now that I'm maintaining I can't eat much more than what I was eating when losing weight as my metabolism is shot to pieces. It doesn't both me not eating much as I'm only little so don't feel hungry or feel the need for more but I do still have to constantly log what I am eating to stay within calories or I will gain. The weight came off easily and it sure as hell goes back on easily.

Yeah, as above :)
I eat a lot of things I love and have lost 24lbs in 9 weeks, :) so about 2lbs a week
Good luck keeping it up, it's a lot easier than Dukan, no rules, just common sense :) also good training for when you're off the diet
