Water - AGAIN - Sorry!!

    Hi Everyone

    Ok I know we've had countless discussions about water but has anyone actually asked a WW Leader about whether or not drinking water makes a difference?

    I've searched through the internet and there is a strong belief that water aids weight loss...apparently the more water you drink, the less you retain - hence why you go to the loo a lot - your body will get rid of water it doesn't need but it will retain if not enough.

    Also, I've noticed when I drink a lot of water and wee a lot that daily my weight comes down and down...I don't know if it's a short term thing or not and on a week to week basis would it really make a difference to my loss..

    But it's doing my head in the water situation....(I always have it with Robinsons NAS Squash but don't think that matters)...

    I just wondered if anyone knew officially from asking a WW Leader if they have found water being either a help or a hindrance on this diet...

    Help would be greatly appreciated!!

    I cant say ive asked my leader about it .. But knowing how i am at the moment i can only go on what i drink !

    At the start of doing ww i did make the effort to drink water every day .. and i have to say i didnt notice a difference i was losing 1-2lbs each week! .... this last week i havnt drunk any extra to what i normally would and i still lost 2lbs!

    Im rubbish at drinking water my usual intake during each day is 2/3 cups of tea, and a glass of coke! and thats it! so im not convinced by it to be honest xx

    So apart from the tea and coke you don't actually drink any water?

    And it hasn't caused problems with retention?

    i dont have a problem either, i drink 3 or 4 glasses a day. Not on its own but with a nas squash. Have lost weight no problems at all.

    Is that all you drink Laurie? Just those 4 glasses and no other drinks?
    That must be about a litre of water then....

    they're big glasses i should say about 2 litres and sometimes a pepsi max in the evening! When i did cd i had 4 litres of plain water a day it killed me i hated drinking so much, i was 4ever on the loo x

    Ok great...I'm drinking no fizzy juice at all now so the Robinsons NAS Squash is my only fluid intake so probably drinking 2 litres plus comfortably a day...but not seeing much in the way of weight loss so was wondering if water is causing a problem.
    Thought I might try green tea aswell as heard that's good........

    I drink a minimum of 2 litres per day. I get weighed on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and on weigh in day I do not take in any fluds after about 2pm - try my hardest to get of every spare drop lol Works for me ;)

    I weigh myself on a Tuesday morning - I wonder if I'm drinking too much before I go to bed on Monday night and it's not getting the chance to settle...
    I'm probably drinking 2 - 3 litres a day but thought that surely it can't be doing harm..must be doing more good?!

    Personally I would not drink after 7pm unless absolutely desperate. Weigh after emptying bladder first thing.
    My skin is def much better when drinking more water so it's worth it just for that

    Thanks Minnie!

    I think I'm guzzling water down at night hoping that I'll wee lots and weigh less in the morning but it doesn't seem to be working that way!
    So think I'll try that - get down 2-3 ltrs a day (and a few cups of Green Tea!) and then not drink after 7 unless I'm desperate (which is rare!!) and see if that helps!!

    No minnie i dont drink any water atall apart from whats in the tea .. and dont feel like i have any retention probs ... if i do drink water during the day its a small glass just after breaky to take my pill with! .. but other than that no!

    Some days tho i do think RIGHT thats it maid! you drink some water and i force myself to have two glasses but other than that nope

    I can only by what Ive experienced and can honestly say I dont notice any difference weight wise from when I drank no water, just diet coke to now when I drink 2/3 litres of SF squash.
