hi all. i finaly have lost 2lb this week. so 8lb gone in all. very happy,

Well, technically I stayed the same, but really I lost 1/2lb because last week it was 2 1/2 & thisforum wouldn't let me put that in my total weight loss (down on the left), so I took the extra half! Hope that makes sense, lol.
Steve has now lost 10lbs so he's very happy too

Today is my first week and 2lb off very pleased but its been peppered with bad news this morning

Thanks guys its a great start and i don't even feel like i'm on a diet at all!
I volunteer with a slum project in Africa and found out this moring that the whole slum is being evicted its a disgrace, we have made so much progress with the kids there....now their future is very uncertain

Oh thats terrible. why are they being evicted?

Kenya railways want the land either side of the track cleared...our slum has 6000 people living there, its worse in bigger slums like Kibera. So angry right now, hopefully we can buy the land but they were only given a months notice to leave. We feed and educate around 130 kids in our project. :cry::cry:

I remember Kenya well from when I was a child, lovely country. I used to be able to speak some kikuyu back then, but I've lost it all now.

My last memory is leaving Mombasa on the troop ship.
