I'd suggest you have a normal breakfast and lunch and then plenty of fruit for snacks and have your evening meal after weigh in.

Definitely don't starve yourself for the day - you don't do that normally so why make life harder for yourself by starving one day a week!

hi hun i used to get weighed in the evening would have breakfast and lunch then would have dinner after weigh in but i would make sure it was ready to eat when i got back, as class didn't finish till 7.30 and i would be starving by then :)

I WI on a tuesday evening, eat my breakfast and lunch as normal, have a cup of tea and a snack (usually fruit) at about 4pm and then nothing else till WI at about 7.15. I also take an alpen light to have during the image therapy as I'm usually starving and it's another hour till I will get my dinner!! I try and be consistent and do the same thing each week. You must eat normally and not starve yourself, or you will force yourself to do the same every week. My weigh in is at 7pm, I eat breakfast/lunch/snacks normally throughout the day, but wait til after weigh in to eat my evening meal.

As its your first evening weigh in dont be too disheartened if it shows a gain, or a loss less than you would hope - changing times will definitely make a difference, but it wont be an indication of your overall weight loss. Once you get into the routine of evening weigh ins the comparison will be consistent and more representative.

The main thing to remember is consistancy, whatever you do before weigh in, keep it the same every week, and make sure that its sustainable (ie not starving yourself all day every Tuesday!)
