Weight Loss My Way...

    After doing SW EE for 2 weeks now, and gaining 1lb, I've decided to combine SW recipes, but with calorie counting and portion control, and logging on Mfp.

    My only treat Friday just gone was gravy & chips from chippy, I've decided to give up Alcohol, so haven't had any drink for exactly a week now. Been having Muller Light yoghurts w/fruit for b/fast, or butter-less brown (sml) toast (1 or 2 slices) w/poached egg & spaghetti hoops (sml tin), SW Easy Chicken Korma.w/Pilau Rice (from new mag), SW chicken w/rosemary potatoes etc, cannot understand why I've gained 1lb?

    Ok, so I've not been having all of my Syns, in fact most days, very few, and they've been with my meals, but am not about to reach for a choc bar just for the sake of it, when I'm not hungry, I don't see any point in that? If anything, my Syns have probably been from HE-A milk, as I'm a bug brew drinker and have probably gone over my HE-A allowance, therefore I assume this would then be classed as my Syns?

    Where am I going wrong? :eek:( Had (still have) a lot of faith in SW, but thinking maybe now I'm too thick to understand it :eek:(

    Hello, sorry to hear of your frustration with SW EE plan. My first question, is are you eating any super free foods with your meals? SW recommend that you eat one third of your plate of SFF i.e. salad or vegetables.
    Do you think you could record a day's food i.e. breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc so we could see what it is you're eating during the day. That would make it easier to see if you are understanding the plan ok. I don't think it's a case of you being thick, but the plan can be a little confusing when you first start.
    Don't lose heart, I'm sure you will be ok.

    Thanks for your reply, weighed myself again today and still not shifted anything :-( Here's an example of yesterday's food...

    B/FAST: Cocunut Muller Light, w/chopped Blueberries & Strawberries, handful of Green Grapes

    LUNCH: 2 x Wholemeal toast (sml) (HE-b) w/Spaghetti Hoops & fried egg (frylight)

    SNACK: Satsuma (sml)

    DINNER: Cod fillet (oven baked), SW pilau Rice, frozen julienne carrots & green beans, canelini beans fried in lemon juice, red chilli flakes, garlic and onion (I assume the garlic and onion are superfree?)

    2 x tea's through the day w/semi-skimmed milk (HE-a), 1 green tea & loads of water

    This is now my typical day, does this seem ok? Cx

    Thanks for taking the time to write your day's food plan - I can't see anything wrong with it at all, and I'm sure that with this plan you will lose weight.
    Weight does fluctuate from day to day, so it may be better not to weigh yourself each day. Just chill out and stick with what you are doing. And...... if you could keep writing everything down, I'm sure it will help.
    Please let me know how you get on at your next weigh-in, not sure when that is?
