What are we eating today?

Morning all, hope you all had a nice bank holiday.
No bank holiday for us unfortunately, we don't really get that one up here unless you work for an English company, we have regional 'Fair' or 'Trades' days instead, ours is 3 August. We don't get the 31st August either, but we will have one on 5th October instead. Go figure!

I did wonder why it was so dead on here yesterday, LOL.

LOL @ Jim the diplomat - well I personally think their 2nd January BH is an eminently sensible idea. I always envy it when I'm dragging my a** back into work in the new year... :)

LOL, I am actually English, born and bred in Kent. DH is the Scot
Been here for 5 years and still can't get used to it.
2nd of Jan is good though, 'drying out day' I call it. Think they are hoping to have St Andrews day (30 Nov) this year too, just in time to get the party season started :D

OK, we believe you Alli. :D

Mushroom soup woof? what type, home made?

Hi Jim Jim.
Ive posted a home made mushrooms soup a while back and OMG it was lush. But today`s isnt, its Go Lower soup. Low ish carbs and it fits in well with my eating plan. Im doing a mix, my own foods and Go Lower. Im busy with my son in and out of hospital and I take them with me. Very tasty and VERY handy.....

Hows things, pet? Its very quiet on here...

Good Morning

B: Poached eggs on brown toasted wholemeal.
L: I fancy a fry up, full English I think.
D: Lamb Chops, and steamed Spring cabbage and Kale

Just reading all your lovely menus and thought I'd add the sauce I made to go with steak when I was on atkins. When the steak is cooked put it somewhere to keep warm and add balsamic vinegar to the pan and bubble vigorously till reduced and the vinegar 'fumes' have gone. Then whisk in some double cream. First had this in Italy and it is fabulous!!!

Will you be having toast, fried bread, chips or hash browns with that fry up, Jim? Just curious about the amount of bread or potatoes you can have in one day on maint...

Poached eggs on buttered wholemeal toast is my absolute fave, can't wait until I am in maint again. :)

b - smoked sausage omelette
l - chicken salad, smoked cheddar cheese sticks
d - smoked mackerel, broccoli & buttered sprouts

(that's three smokes in one day - and they say it's bad for your health...)
