What are we eating today?

Only had 2 meals today, got up late!

L: Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, tea with watered down cream
D: Fajita salad (beef mince, lettuce, celery, green pepper, cheese and sour cream)
S: Slice of jarlsberg cheese (my favourite!) and a packet of pork scratchings
W: Not as much as I should have, about 3 pints, plus tea and green tea
E: None today, in a really low mood (all better now)
 
The only on target thing for me today is a 2 hour walk with the dog - thank goodness it is Monday tomorrow, back to some sort of sensible eating..................I do love atkins and it is really good for me, just my willpower that is wubbish.
Water, water, need water - my glass is fed up of vodka.

L: The carby Cafe today.
D: Danish meat balls and onion gravy with steamed cauli and broccolli.
 
B- 3 egg omlette with cheese, mushrooms and bacon
L- Chicken and lettuce with caesar dressing
D- Chicken and prawn stir fry with cabbage, pak choi, asparagus and mushrooms and 20ml of soy sauce
S- Peparami and cheese string
D- Water, peppermint tea and coke zero
 
My First meal on Atkins.

hope you all had a good weekend
So today I will be eating.
B .poached egg,2 slices of bacon,half cup mushrooms fried in butter yummy.
L.Chicken breast lettuce,tomato,onions,mushrooms,bean sprouts(carefully measures out).
D either salmon or bolognaise.
W 3l
E 30 min walk

Morning Steve.

How do you cook the bratties. I've tried frying, grilling etc but they do not taste the same as they did in Germany. I'm not saying they are not good but they don't taste as delicious.
 
They're not at all the real thing, are they Jim? :(
I've found that just frying them in butter gives reasonable results. :)

I get all of my day's swearing out while I'm trying to cook the curved bits. They seem to delight in keeling over just as I think I've got them balanced. :cry:
 
They are mostly grilled in Germany, or were when I was a young squaddie over there, but yes frying them is the best I can achieve over here. I'm glad it's not just me then. :D
 
Can any one tell me the best ratio of fats and protein.
Today I had 10% carb
Fat (74%)
Protein (16%)

Is this ok or should the balance be more protein.

D: 2 pork chops (instead of last night) with salad

E: P90 sweat circuit and ab ripper 100

looks ok to me, maybe a bit more protien like 70/20/10 but i wouldn't stress out about it.

Tues 3/8 - Maintenance

B - mim cereal with double cream
S - slice of mim with butter
L - boiled egg, slice and half of ham, piece of stilton with low carb coleslaw, watercress, romaine lettuce, cucumber, tomato, spring onion and some philly
S - slice of mim with butter
D - pan fried turkey steak with spring greens, cauli and mange tout
S - rest of mim with butter


Water - usual 4 litres plus coffees
Exercise - an hour and half with dogbert (5 miles)

Bit of a weird day,

Breakfast: leftover sag paneer from my indian takeway, ate it cold :)
Late lunch: 3 egg omelette with bacon, 1/2 tomato, cheese and sour cream. Couldn't finish it, made me feel a bit ill, need to lay off the eggs!
Dinner: Haven't felt hungry so had a sugar free jelly pot with double cream.

Rubbish on veggies today :( Not like me to have no appetite!

Exercise: an hour walk, yay :)

Hi

In the MIM recipe thread there is something called cinnamon flaxmeal crackers which you can break into bits and use as cereal with cream on it - bit of an acquired taste - have tried it with cinnamon and cocoa powder at different times - basically just flaxmeal, cinnamon and water to make a ball of dough, you roll out between 2 sheets of baking paper, take one off and bake it then cool and break up. Simples.........
