Hello! Well, here's todays menu. Still staying in induction phase for now.

B/L: Fry up (bacon, sausage, egg and savoury mim roll)
D: Slow cooker gammon joint with cauli and a wee bit of onion

Not feeling very well today, so wasnt awake in time for breakfast, but I might go make a snack before dinner because I'm getting peckish!

Back after a wee break which included a trip to Scotland to see the OHs mum and sister for his 40th birthday and also I've moved house so been having lots of fun and frolicks

B: tried making flaxmeal porridge - not so good :yuk:
L: omlette with ham & cheese and mixed green leaf salad
D: random meat extracted from my freezer served with cauli

Having terrible cravings at the moment which is probably not helped by worrying about going back to work after my time off

Welcome back - hope going back to work is not too traumatic.
How did you make your flaxmeal porridge? Not thought of using it like that before.
Bren xx

Thanks for the welcome back Steve, been reading your progress and you are doing so well, I can understand your frustrations but I think as others have said, you are unveiling some toned goodness there so keep it up! :)

Bren, I found this recipe on the Diabetes Forum after a google mooch around.

1 tablespoon Soy protein powder
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
Spenda* to taste
1 teaspoon cocoa (not hot chocolate) powder**
Full Cream yoghurt, creme fraiche or double cream as required.

Mix together, add boiling water a little at a time, less that 1/2 pint and stir until thick.
Stir in the yoghurt or cream or creme fraiche.
Add more Splenda if it is not sweet enough.

* You could use one of the DaVinci carb free syrups instead e.g. vanilla. Buy online.
** Original recipe used cinnamon and chopped nuts.

I think part of my problem is I am a total porridge addict so the texture just didn't work for me :(

Thanks Ossireo. :)

Monty, your FS link still isn't working. Follow Zim's advice! :D

My food for today.
W: 3L
E: 40 mins P90 cardio & abs I-II

Morning all, dreadful night here, thank God I'm nearly deaf, the wind was howling and the rain was really lashing down.

B: lamb curry.
L: I'm thinking of an omelette?
D: Gammon steaks, cabbage & leek and Fried courgette.

oh and Hi Ossireo - welcome back love. :)

the wind was howling and the rain was really lashing down.
Im confused. What other kind of weather is there? ;)
You're spoiled, you Southern lot! :D

Hey, who are you calling a Southerner, I'm from St Helens you Mancunian git ;)

Morning all

After a yucko night (have discovered steak gives me IBS, so a different kind of wind problem Jim :)), I tried a soya protein shake for breakfast, which was....an acquired taste. Maybe it would be better with some of the syrup you guys mention - how does that measure up on the carb front? I made it with 100g unsweetened soya and 400g water, whizzed up and put some nutmeg on top. Not the taste I was hoping for - and I was starving by the time I got to work! So just had scrambled eggs and bacon from the local cafe.

L - Ham and salad with oil and lemon dressing
D - Pork, cheese and salad

Have a good day all

Susie

:roofles: So you should be used to the leaden skies, merciless winds and constant downpours then! :D

We had a friend visit us from darn sarf once over, and he wanted to know if they filmed the outside scenes from Blade Runner in Manchester! :D
