    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to pick your brains for advice. For the last two weeks I've had agonising back pain on and off every second day near enough. I've been taking my painkillers which work for a little while but most of the time I'm in agony. This has been a longstanding problem for me for years and usually when the pain comes it will go away after couple days of rest and meds but this time I just can't shift it. I wondered whether it was CD which is delaying the healing process and if so whether I should come off for a couple days to let it heal? I know the weight is nit helping so I only really wanna come off CD if I have too. I've seen docs about it in the past and have had MRI's and just been told when pain hits to take painkillers. It's really getting me down as I'm struggling to do anything.

I would be grateful for your advice xx

Have you tried seeing a physio? I have back problems and when its really bad i visit a physio who gives me exercises to do which help. I would definately talk to GP or consultant before coming off the plan as i can tell you from personal experience that getting back on it afterwards is incredibly difficult!!! In my opinion, worse than week one. But saying that, maybe your painkillers work more efficiently with food and maybe thats why it hasnt worked as well? Maybe go up a stage if thats the case. Hope your back is better soon, you have my sympathy

Thanks for your advice guys. I decided to have a meal which was protein based though had small amount of cous cous with it. Took more painkillers and had a lie down. Feeling bit better now but will c how tomo goes.

I've not tried a physio before but think I should look into it. I have a small tumour in the nerve at the bottom of my spine (not cancerous) but when I strain my back I think it aggravates it or something and that causes the pain, usually only lasts few days though once it went on for a week but that was years ago. Hoping I'll feel better tomo and the meal will give my body the extra energy it needs to heal. If it doesn't then I'll guess I'll have to go c the doctor. I hate doctors though lol

Thanks so much for your advice

Hoping I can sleep tonight without being in too much pain lol!
