I am so despondent that tonight I very nearly went to a local WW class!!!! I printed off the vouchers for free membership and half price class fee and everything...

(No offence to WW people reading this - I'm an ex ww-er myself as it happens!)

My plan was to go, get the most recent info, and do a week of (get this) both SW and WW simultaneously!!!! Am I nuts or what? I mean...that's totally OTT.

:sigh: I really need to get my mojo back.

Sorry - I'm a right misery guts at the moment!

Awr hun, poor you. We all have times where it goes a bit pear shaped. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on the wagon. We'll all help you along the way. You're doing so well, don't let it go now x

I've not gone though! I wasn't going to leave SW...just do both lol!!!
The plan (in my head) was that I would eat the SW way, but point the foods at the same time.

So like, have an egg on toast which would be just a HE-B for the bread...but count 1 point or whatever for the egg and 3 for the bread.

It's OTT...daft thing to consider. I am glad I didn't do it...but I need to do something to shake off this mood!

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))) Hellie ~ everyone feels like you do now and again, unfortunately that's life hun! I also think the only time any diet will work is if your head is in the right place ~ you WILL get your mojo back Hellie and be back to ultra determined Hellie in no time and to being your usual ray of sunshine to us all. We are all here to help and support each other, xx

Blimey ducks, if you were doing both together they would be carting you off to the funny farm by the end of the week with brain overload. Just stop and calm down, have a long hard think about what you are doing (apart from headless chicken grabbing at all the straws). Talk to yourself about what you want and why you want it. Tell yourself that you are going to start a plan in the morning and remain focused on it all day. Nothing more than a day at a time, don't think about friday or next monday and how much you will be hoping to loose, just take it an hour/half a day/whole day at a time. Small steps that won't trip you up and set you back. In no time you will be back in the full swing of things with the mojo flashing like a beacon. You can do it hun, give yourself some love and have faith in yourself xxxx

Come on Huneybunch! You know they both work, but you also know if you go back to WW's you'll be fiddling points and won't be eating properly, and you'll be hungry! Get your books out again, do a food diary as if it was your first week (cept you won't make the mistakes because you'll know what you are doing). Get out an item of clothing or several that you want to get into. (perhaps one you tried on a few weeks ago) hang it on the front of your wardrobe and try it on every few days. Scream, rant, vent at us! Because you know in your heart of hearts that this is where you belong! WITH US!

Have you got the latest copy of the magazine? I bought mine a couple weeks ago and hadn't read it. But this weekend, I was busy and it was like 1pm and I hadn't had breakfast yet and I was STARVING hungry. So hungry that I didn't care what I ate, as long as it was quick and in my gob immediately. I had cooked breakfast and as I'd made a loaf of bread for another purpose, I decided I'd have buttered toast with my breakfast. I knew it was bad, but I was that hungry, I didn't care. So I was cooking up my breakfast and while I was waiting for things to cook, I picked up my magazine and started reading one of the stories and it was about this woman who was almost fighting for her life due to her weight and bad habits... and she mentions that for breakfast she has 4 slices of buttered toast. I immediately went off the idea. I had the toast, but I didn't butter it. I had my breakfast, which was cooked the SW way, eggs in fry light, etc. And two nice slices of home baked white seeded bread, toasted. I'd made stewed tomatoes so I just put some of that on the bread to moisten it and and an egg on the other and it was fab. And I felt so much better that I had that magazine and it made me stop and realise what I was doing. It really, really helped. Maybe if you have a few of the SW magazines lying around, you could pick them up and have a little read yourself and find your mojo again?

Thanks everyone....so much. I really appreciate the support. I do get a bit from class, but that's not every day and I can't open up like I can here.
I'm not usually a glum person (honest!) so when I go to group I feel like I can't totally wallow in my current state of glumness, IYSWIM? So being able to indulge it here really helps. I feel a bit brighter today...but it's WI day and I can't do anything about the previous week now.

You've all been brilliant. I will come back on tonight or tomorrow morning after WI with a new head on. A newbie head!

Maybe if you have a few of the SW magazines lying around, you could pick them up and have a little read yourself and find your mojo again?
I do have loads of mags, so that's a great idea. I do re-read them, usually for recipes and don't often go back through the stories, but I will try that idea. Thank you. And I'm glad you stepped away from the evil, buttery toast!!

Positive Hellie is on her way back...gradually

Oh Hellie, I think most of us have been there in some way. I actually started the CD and still went along to SW class for a while, I was getting so frustrated and just wanted those lbs off - it didn't last and I just gave up both. The result? another 2 stone gained and I was back at SW.

Is it your rate of losing that is getting to you? You've lost a big chunk of weight so it will slow down a little but it is coming off (as your results show!)

I've faffed around and tried other things so many times when I think SW has stopped working for me: CD, Paul McKenna, WW, Marissa Peer, Food Doctor (that's just a few!) I've not stuck at any and I then get so upset I just give in. You've done so so well, look at how far you've come, the weight you've lost and have a think about why you started in the first place - remember how well the plan works and try going back to basics for a week. Read the magazine, try one of their food plans for the week and vary your food lots.

I'm really sorry you're feeling low, I know how horrible it feels but can guarantee stopping or switching feels even worse!

Take care xox

WOO!!

I find it easier to open up here too than at group - think a lot of us might feel that way. This forum is a lifeline and a half!

Good for you Hellie - you go for it this week xxx

Right Lady - here's the thing..... pretend it's your first ever week at SW. Read your book, plan your week, do a super duper SW shop and have a "fabulous first week" (as SW call it!!)

YOU CAN DO IT HELLIE!!!

Hey Hellie, hope your feeling better today. I was like you last week but gave into to food. If it's the weight thats getting you down I'm doing SW/slimfast and it's working a treat. You have done well with your weight loss so far, keep it up:D
