when will I see a loss??

Hi everyone,
I started "Dukaning" on Monday. Today is day 3, and I weighed myself this morning in the vain hope that there may be some difference... 2lbs. that's it.
my friend started a week ago and lost 9lbs the 1st week....
How does it work with weight loss? does it all drop off on day 6?
when can I expect to see a change on the scales?
Just so I don't get disappointed.

If you started Monday, and you weighed yourself this morning Wednesday, you've lost 1lb per day (two days only) and so you're on course to beat your friend... BUT, we're all different and we all lose at different rhythms. It would depend on your and her start weights too! Heavier people obviously lose quicker as they've more to lose at the outset.

Have you been posting your menus?
 
yes - I posted yesterday's for the 1st time.
It's really good to see what everyone else is eating, but I seem to be eating more.... all of things allowed, but generally more. Is that a problem?
 
Absolutely not! At your current weight, you need to be eating plenty of protein... Many of our new people aren't very overweight and so will get away with less protein but, if you need it, eat it! I'll go and check your menu now, presuming it's in the general menu thread!
 
I must have just been that bit too eager!
This morning I weighed myself and had the shock of my life -
7lbs gone!!!! I re-checked it 4 times by getting on and off the scales....
hurrah for Dukan!
