Would you like this?

Well it's my mum's birthday on the 2nd Feb, she'll be 50!

Just a month after christmas, I'm pretty skint... so this is what I've got planned.

Birthday Cake ordered (personal message etc)

Morning - Flowers to the door

Lunch - Buffet spread, cakes + Bday cake

Gifts - Marks and Sparks Voucher, Lush Soap Gift

Afternoon - Bingo (my treat) but my brother and sister in law will be meeting us there (my mum doesn't know this).

Evening - Nice family sit down with some more food and games.

Best I could do, would you enjoy this for your birthday?

Sounds perfect. A whole day spent with family. She will love it

This will be my year
Some great ideas, and spacing them out over the day makes it even nicer :D
Hi, I'm "Around" that age lol & think you are making her a very special day - what's better. At times my daughter & I have been so angry at each other that special days have been missed by not sharing together. So I think any mother would be proud that you care enough to plan so much together with family. Thats the best gift you can give anyone. Who really needs expensive presents just bought - all that effort is something that you can't put a price tag on!!. Have a great day & enjoy yourselves. Regards Jacquie

The cake was gorgeous. Ordered from Marks and Sparks £28. But wellll worth it.

My brother didn't turn up to the bingo... I'm very disappointed :(. The only person she saw all day was me, my kids etc and her mate.

But we had a wee win each!

She loved all the flowers etc.

She said this is why she had a daughter, cause if it wasn't for me she'd of seen no one or had anything on her 50th as my brothers didn't even send cards.
Hi, That CAN be the difference between sons & daughters. Sometimes they don't even realize how hurtful their actions can be received. I'm sure your mum knows her sons love her in their absent way of showing they care. That's when your actions stand out for your thoughtful ways. You made the day special in her memories and she's lucky to have you. Sometimes we don't want a fuss made of our birthdays - but then when nothing special happens the day just rolls into just another day. So glad your efforts made the difference that day for her. How's your journey going. Regards Jacquie
