Yummymummys first weight loss diary! getting slim for my little boy....

Hi, Im Em and I have a ten week old little boy :) Hes a little beaut but after I gave birth I found I had gained a whooolllleeeee lot of extra weight during my pregnancy. (He was only 5lb 3oz so I had no excuse for that!)

Anyway I started my quest to lose 4 and a half stone on Tuesday 17th of April, and in my first week I lost 4lbs! I was very chuffed :)

I have found that I do have the willpower to do this.. yesterday there was a huge bar of green and blacks milk chocolate whilst visiting my mums, instead of having half the bar like I would have done usually I had three tiny squares (3 syns) and then stopped, feeling satisfied! :)


I have been cooking meals from scratch every night since I started and including lots of yummy vegetables., another challenge is getting my other half to eat them though without picking all the veg out! :sigh:

Excited for my weigh in tomorrow night, I hope Ive lost, Im dying for my half stone award to keep me motivated!

Meal plan for today.. (which I always stick to!) (lol) :/

Breakfast: 2x Weetabix with skimmed milk and an orange.

Lunch: chicken breast salad made with lettuce, onion and beetoot with frylight cesear dressing and an apple.

Snack: Quavers (4.5 syns)

Dinner: Spag bol with homemade sauce (passata, herbs, garlic, onion and mushrooms) and extra lean mince

Desert: Muller yogurt



yum yum! Almost cant wait to eat it all ha!

Oh my gawdd stop me now ended up having quavers, three rich teas and a rocky road squares bar in a row and I want more. Thats 14.5 syns so no more for me today. Why is it some days you cant help but crave bad things?! x
 
Reasons why I want to lose weight...

1. To get back to the 'old' me
2. To be able to relax with friends without comparing myself to their sizes (most of my friends are so so slim :( )
3. To be able to run about without getting so out of breath
4. To put on whichever clothes I want in the morning and feel confident in whatever I wear.
5. To shop for clothes that I like, rather than clothes that will cover me up
6. To go back to work feeling proud of my body
7. To get compliments again
8. And most of all, for my son to say when hes older.. 'Yep! Thats my mum over there!'

Well my MIL has offered to have my little boy for the day, hes got colic so has been screaming from morning till night and im so shattered.. started him on infacol and comfort milk so will see if that helps him settle :(

Well a day free to myself means I can chill, osrt my meal plans out and prepare my meals easier..


Breakfast: Weetabix with skimmed milk and banana
Lunch: Jacket potato with leftover spagbol from last night and a side salad
Dinner: Diet coke chicken with boiled rice and veg

Snacks: apple, quavers (4.5syns), Small pinch of grated cheddar (3 syns)

My little boy had colic, it's horrible isn't it, he never slept, would sleep for a total of about 10 hours in 24 :( I thought babies slept all the time until I had Callum, we put him on infacol and cow & gate comfort milk, it helped a bit but didn't stop it, bless their little tummys, you feel helpless don't you, callums lasted from when he was a week old to 11 weeks so we were quite lucky really it went quite quick, even though it didn't seem like it at the time, he's 3 now and I'm just getting my baby weight off ;-) so well done you for trying to get it off now :) xx
 
Ah well done you, on your loss so far. Ahhhh a 10week old. How lush. My youngest is nearly 2. It's just flown by. It's horrible when they cry and cry in pain and theres nothing you can do:(

Half a stone in two weeks :) very pleased. Thanks for your comments ladies, infacol and milk seems to be helping so far! xx

I started in October and I'd lost 11lbs by Xmas, but put 6 on over Xmas & new year, so I've lost it since new year except those 5lbs, it's a bit rubbish but I'm the worse dieter in the world so I'm happy with my progress, I've had 2 weekends away in that time too :) x
 
Food diary for today

Breakfast: WW toast x2 (heB) with two light laughing cow triangles (part heA) and a banana
Lunch: Few spoonfuls of couscous: (0.5 syns) (didnt like it)
Pack of Quavers (4.5) Two rich tea fingers (2)

Prawns in marie rose sauce (god knows how many syns), lettuce, onion, cucumber, coffee with rest of HeA milk

Dinner: Omelette with ham and
mushrooms, fried in frylight, Apple

Overall syns: At least 10-12 syns, wouldnt say more than 15, correct me if im wrong x

Had my little dude weighed yesterday, he is 10lb 10 at 10 weeks old. Spooky! :)

Food diary for Thursday

Breakfast: Beans on Toast (heB) and an orange
Lunch: crabstick salad with frylight Cesar dressing, Quavers (4.5 syns)
Dinner: homemade sw kievs (5 syns breadcrumbs) stuffed with cheese (hea) and ham, with peas and mixed veg

Snacks: Banana, Apple

One 10g mini lindt bunny: 2.5 syns
Options hot choc 2 syns



Syns for the day: 14

Breakfast: WW toast (heB) with dairylea light, Banana
Lunch: Pasta n sauce tomato and herb with salad, Apple
Dinner: chilli and garlic chicken stir fry with soy sauce, mushrooms, beansprouts and noodles

Snacks: Curly Wurly 6 syns, Quavers 4.5 syns, options hot choc 2 syns

total: 12.5
 
Making some speed soup today! Got a feeling my loss this week wont be as much as the past two so trying to boost it a bit. Expecting around 1.5 pounds this week at the most, ive got to learn that thats ok and a completely normal weight loss xxx
 
Ive had a very naughty flexi day today!

But you know what, after three weeks of no takeaways or the treats I want I feel like I needed it to stop me feeling deprived. Even though you dont have to save up syns on the other days to make up for it i think i might. So going to try and only have 5-6 syns for the next few days to compensate.

Today :/

Breakfast: Grabbed a banana

Lunch: Nandos butterfly chicken, spicy rice, corn on the cob and four tablespoons of peri peri sauce (8 syns)

Snack: A KRISPY KREME RASPBERRY GLAZED DONUT

Dinner: Will be a snacky thing, a ham salad maybe and some fruit.. or some crabsticks with vinegar


So 23 syns for a flexi day... could have been worse i suppose...


Mood: feeling good and ready to start a fresh day tomorrow!

Weigh in tonight and thats another 2.5lbs off! Brings me to a grand total of 9.5lbs in three weeks. Very happy just want it to continue now x
