Fresh start diary
This is my third attempt at keeping a food diary, and since I get so much out of reading other people's, it seems right to properly put the effort in.
A bit of background on me- I started my SW journey in August 2012 and lost 3st 5lb by December. However, I went completely off plan for 3 weeks and hve gained 6.5lb. I've joined a new group as I'm moving house to a different area, and this really feels like a fresh start.
I promise to be honest with this diary- no claiming I've eaten lots of superfree when I haven't lol. I'll try and upload photos if I can figure it out on an iPhone.
Please give me feedback, suggestions, advice and when I need it a good kick up the bum!
2 tangerines, handful of grapes
Pasta, quorn pieces in a sauce made of tinned tomatoes, sweet red pepper, red onion and chillies and HEX A of cheese
I've got a beef stew in the slow cooker with extra lean beef, parsnips, swede, onions, carrots and beef stock. Will use a tablespoon of bisto granules for 3.5 syns to thicken it up
Will have HEX B wholemeal bread with it
I'll update my syns across the day
So to add to yesterday's diary I had a curly wurly taking my syns to 7.5 for the day- happy with that.
Today's menu looks like this-
2 egg omelette, 3 rashers turkey bacon, small tin baked beans
Homemade tomato and basil soup from the little book that came with this month's SW magazine. Will have my HEX B of wholemeal bread with this
Chicken breast, smothered in syn free BBQ sauce, wrapped in bacon and topped with cheese (HEX A), served with SW roast potatoes and broccoli
Not sure what syns I will have but I'm aiming for around 7 a day this week.
Am going to restart 30 Day Shred as well, not looking forward to the pain I'll be in tomorrow lol
Oof just did Josie Gibson's new DVD and it was tough! I actually found it more intense than 30DS. The prospect of doing it tomorro makes me want to cry a bit but I want a brilliant week this week! Aiming for 4lb loss so I'm staying focused

I am looking for a new workout DVD, have been doing a rosemary conerly one and I'm bored of it and just can't be doing with the shred at the mo.... What's the music like on the Josie one? x
Well this morning I an barely move thanks to Josie! The music isn't really noticeable at the stage I'm doing as there's a lot of explanation talk but from what I remember its just generic dance music.

So yesterday I had 3 syns but I think my bf and I will be having some vodka tonight!
Today's menu looks like this-
Weight watchers bacon sandwich (HEX B) followed by 2 tangerines and some grapes
Batchelors pasta n sauce (cheese and broccoli) with a bag of microwave veg stirred through. This will be part of my HEX A for the milk
Spaghetti bolegnaise from the recipe book that came with the mag this month. Having some green beans on the side and the rest of my HEX A in low low cheese sprinkled on top
Will probably have 15 syns worth of vodka tonight :-)

Just back from a 5 mile walk and I'm aching! Totally feel good for it though and now am relaxing on the sofa with a cup of coffee and wife swap USA lol.

5 spice chicken and noodles with peppers, green beans and whatever veg I find in the fridge!
I'm going to have a cadburys caramel at 9 syns later for a snack
I guess it means its working if you can barely move! :) I may just have to get back on the shred. Well done for the walk today and enjoy your chocolate treat, I wish I could just have one! X
Yes Josie definitely kicks my butt! Today is the first day I've felt normal again but am going to do it again tomorro eek!

i can't find the cherry bakewell alpens anywhere...where did you get them...and are they yummy?

The DVD is a killer but its half hour of hell and makes me feel like I've done an our in the gym! And she says on the workout that you keep burning fat for 48 hours after exercising which sounds ace to me! She looks amazing doesn't she?
I'm slowly getting nervous for Wednesdays weigh in....I've probably been 90% this week and hoping for a 4lb loss to get some of this Xmas gain off. All my new smaller sized clothes feel a bit tight still and I only gained 6.5lbs in 3 weeks! Need to knuckle down and focus.

oooh Josie looks fab alright, and i saw the video on amazon so had heard you burn fat afterwards for a while.
i have heard its the best way to do it because of how it works so i'm sure it'll really help you...look forward to hearing all about the progress!
i'm back to work this week and kinda nervous that people will notice i've put weight on (not sure how much cos i won't get weighed until tomorrow night) but trying to remind myself that it's only me who will know seeing as the last time i got weighed was at a ww class so its all new from tomorrow night. (and a new time too seeing as my weigh in before was at 10am and i'd have had nothing since the night before lol)
do you know if the special k chewy delight bars are classed as a healthy extra on this? seems to be unclear from threads i've read and i can always ask tm or it might show in the new pack i'll get but thought i'd ask on the off chance anyone knew? x
got the cherry bakewell alpen lights...cant wait to try them! now undecided whether to have 2 today (i'm doing green and have already had weetabix as my 1st HE) or have a wholemeal roll as part of my lunch or hang off til tomorrow seeing i'm back to work. i'm thinking its good that you get 2 cos then i can have one before i leave and take the other and have it mid morning or whenever i'm snacking at work?
loving the fact you get 2 HE on green days but going to do EE tm cos i'm gonna try the diet cola chicken for dinner....but its making me think how to make best use of the 1 HE and not be hungry (which i know we dont have to be...its just trying to make it fit in with work)
how do you work it or what's best for you? i know everyone's different but just for an idea for my new self :D x
Yeah I love the 2 HEX B on red or green but I hate quorn stuff (I've tried it so many times and its purely the texture rather than the flavour) and need carbs to feel full so I have to stick to EE.
Josie is my new hero I'm sticking a picture of her on my fridge as inspiration to stick with it!
I think it's only alpen lights and the hifi bars you get from class that are healthy extras. When do you go to class again? Try the rocky road ones - they are lush!
Soooo first day back at work today which I find so much easier in terms of food. When I'm at home with no structure I slack on the superfree!
Bran flakes (HEX B) with alpro hazelnut milk (HEX A) and some defrosted black Forrest berries
Work was crazy so didn't get chance to have my pasta n sauce but had a tomato and herb mug shot on the go pot when I got in. Also had a fruit salad of apple, grapes, tangerine and pineapple.
Having the 5 spice chicken again with noodles and whatever veg I find in the fridge- this was so lovely when we had it on Saturday we're going for it again! Only 1 syn as well.
Will probably have a slice of toast later for 3 syns with the rest of my HEX A cheese spread
Maybe a 2 finger kit Kat for 5.5 syns
