I have a Gammon joint I want to cook in my slow cooker but I'm not sure what to do with it, ideas? I could have sworn I saw one on here but I can't find it. Also will I need to sit it on foil balls as recommended with chickens?

Usually batchelors rice, the golden one is nice topped with cheese. Sometimes I grill some mushrooms and put them right at the bottom. Thing is you only need a bit of a packet of rice to stuff them with so maybe you could just have the pepper and your OH can have rice on its own with cheese...
