    Will I lose my assets?

As boobs are mostly fat it stands to reason that you will lose weight on your boobs too. Over the past 15 weeks I've gone from a 34K to a 32GG. Now I'm sure most of us with bigger boobs rejoice at them getting smaller, but I guess if you're small/average to begin then I can understand your...

I was also never told about having to only go on tfr for maximum of 12 weeks, eat for a week, and then back on tfr but it's NICE govt guidelines and LL and CD adhere them. I really think LT should make people aware of this. If anyone is interested the link is...

Lighter Life also say you should eat a higher amount of calories after 12 weeks and then you can go back to vlcd. LL suggest you mix your shakes with milk for a week to get your calories up and then go back to using water. Cambridge Diet also have a 12 week limit on tfr with a week of food and...

    Weigh loss %

:) Oh, actually now I see it listed on my user profile thingy - silly me :) - could have saved my hubbie the time in working out the formula for me! :D I've made a spreadsheet of my % losses for every week, as well as all kinds of measurements, I love looking at it - several times a day!

    Weigh loss %

Hi all, Has anyone ever worked out what % of the starting weight they have lost? I find it really motivating, and it really makes me super happy, when I think of my weight loss in those terms. As at today, I've lost 25% or, which I think sounds better, 1/4 :), of my starting weight. woo hoo...

    NOT VERY SUPORTIVE!

Yeah, I've had similar stuff from friends and a co-worker. I've been told about putting the weight back on and how it's really unhealthy to be eating so few calories, etc, etc. It really p****s me off. Like being obese is the healthier option! And besides, I've never looked better. My skin is...

Problems with first week of refeeding

Yeah, I don't think I was ready to refeed either, just getting a bit desperate for some solid food! :) But I'm so over solids at the moment! ha ha ha I'm really looking forward to going back on the shakes and finally getting to my goal weight. And it won't be for that long - I reckon somewhere...

Problems with first week of refeeding

Just done it - going back on TFR as from next week :) Strange to think that only a week ago I was looking forward to refeeding and now I'm looking forward to going back on TFR for that final push to reach my goal. Let's hope I can lose the last 9kg in under 6weeks.

Problems with first week of refeeding

Thanks for the responses you guys. I'm actually thinking I might go back on TFR and give it one last push to reach my goal weight. Before I started refeeding I was starting to go crazy with no food and my motivation levels were at zero, but now that I've had some nosh, I think I'm up for...

Problems with first week of refeeding

Hi all I started refeeding on Friday. After most meals I feel terribly full (even though I'm eating the correct quantities) and bloated. I've also put on just under 2lbs overnight, since yesterday. I'm a bit concerned about all of this. Just wondering if anyone else has had this kind of...

Obviously you can't deprieve yourself of a bit of chocolate or ice cream for the rest of your life :) perish the thought! but I won't be tucking into chocolate every day like I was before. I think I've had a big mind shift over the past three months in my thoughts about food. I'll be much...

so what happens when i finish?

I couldn't agree with more. Once I'm done with LT I don't want to be on another diet ever again. Healthy eating and exercise are the key to ending the dieting cycle.

    Diet Drinks

Yes, indeed :( They seem to put that c**p in everything! I even stopped using this particular brand of toothpaste due to the citric acid. Possibly a bit of overkill as I didn't not eat it :) but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

How Much Water Do You Use??

I don't like mine so diluted - makes it taste less chocolatey imo. I usually use just under 200ml of water in my choc shakes (the only ones I have) and sometimes for breakfast I'll only use about 100ml to make it nice and thick.

    Great day today :))

Thank you :) It took me quite a lot of weight to drop my first dress size - I think about 30lb :( but now it seems to be getting easier to fit into smaller things. If you were an 18 before and a healthy BMI then how can there be anything wrong with that? I don't think any of us are trying to...

I totally agree with IrishMum. She would have been a rubbish slimming buddy if she caved so easily. Good luck with your refeed decision too :) I think most people would think we're all crazy for treating this as a major life decision. :) Thanks When I first started LT my goal was 65kg. It has since been revised to 70kg but now, as I'm really, really struggling to stay on it, I might just start re-feeding at 73kg (which puts my in a normal BMI range) and then lose the excess by healthy eating and exercise. But then another...

:D I've just cheered myself up by buying a new winter coat during my lunch break (in a smaller size! :)) and feel a lot more motivated! This is my first non essential purchase since losing some weight. I've bought new bras and trousers, but they were really essential, so next that exciting. :D

Has anyone ever had these words said to them?

I do feel somewhat better that I'm not the only one being driven crazy by other peoples negativity. Perhaps I will not want to yell at the next person who says that to me :) and might instead find the humorous side to their small mindedness.
  42. N

Has anyone ever had these words said to them?

I just get annoyed when it keeps getting said how keeping the weight off will be hard. I can't fathom how people think I (or anyone on a diet) does not know this. Anyway, it's going to be fabulous to prove them all wrong and stay slim and healthy :D woo hoo!
  43. N

Has anyone ever had these words said to them?

Exactly! Giving up food is no walk in the park. I've had something along those lines as well (grrrr........) from a friend of mine who admits he needs to lose weight but, even though he reckons LT is an easy solution, doesn't want to do it. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense

    Excercise?

Yeah, I've tried to get my husband to go with me in the past. He seemed quite keen at one stage, so I even paid his enrolment fee and bought him new trainers. But alas, he did not step foot in the gym after he signed the contract. I suppose it must make a big difference when you've got someone...
  45. N

    Excercise?

Wow! That is super impressive!!! I only get to my home area at about 7pm after work everday, so when you add going to the gym I would be home just before 9pm, which really sucks. I've also got to get my butt out during my lunch breaks and start going for half hour walks.
  46. N

what are you going to do after LT?

Yup :D It's seems like very logical food advice and portion control to me. I don't really want to spend the rest of my life counting calories or points or having green days or weighing food. I've done toooooo much of that in the past. I just want to have a normal relationship with food.
  47. N

    Excercise?

I always managed to fool myself for a few months when I had signed up at the gym in the past that I was doing the right thing by sweating my guts out after a long day at work and a long commute home and actually enjoying it! (yeah right) but it could not be sustained and it got to the point...

what are you going to do after LT?

My plan is to do away with diets completely. I've go the book "The Food Doctor", which I'm going to stick to. Excercise?

Hi everyone, Just wondering what exercise, if any, you all do? I've joined the gym 3 times in the past few years, but I never last more than a few months - and it's a long, hard, painful few months. I've come to terms with the fact and I'm not, nor will I ever be, a gym bunny. I did, however...

Well done on resisting. It is so hard when you have to go to social functions and stick to the water or black tea. On Friday my husband had takeaway pizza. Thanks for that. It seems like people think that just cos I'm a bit of a chubber, I don't have a brain. I'm obviously a bit nervous about coming off LT in the future, but feel I'm going to be under scrutiny for people just waiting for me to become fat again so I can get an "I told you...
