Room for a " large" one??

Hi Zelos - sure you can join in - more of a mutual support group than a proper team, but happy to have you on board - we usually just post our losses at the end of each week to keep each other going, so let us know how your first week is and post whenever! Good Luck!!

Room for a " large" one??

Hi ladies, broke the diet :break_diet:and sat down and had a meal & a drink with OH last night (think he's been feeling a bit neglected!!:(:() Was quite healthy though, chicken & veg, no potatoes, so hopefully not too much damage, but worried it will make it harder to get back on track,:sigh: so...

Room for a " large" one??

Hi Zanny. Glad you are getting into the groove!! I quite like the leek & potato soup, and you are right it's amazing what you don't think you can do without and then you can! - enjoy that feeling of being in control - it's quite relaxing isn't it?
  12. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

I everyone, so I make that 10lb loss between the three of us this week - which is about the same as a Bichon Frise Dog (the white fluffy ones!!) that's a lot!!. Zanny I only 5lb my first week on SS so don't worry - I think it might be more about our bodies and the type of fat we carry - my...

    happy, happy, happy!

How are you doing Mollydog? How's the exercise doing? Have done 6 days of the shred now - definately getting easier (thank goodness:eek:)
  14. Skippydog

Newbie - First time on CD - Buddies

I think CD don't recommend doing exercise for a period at the start, and the shred is partly about burning calories but also about building lean muscle weight which is heavier than fat, so I think your body stores anything extra to use during exercise having a "plateau" effect on weight loss...

Room for a " large" one??

    happy, happy, happy!

Hi Mollydog - I'm doing the 30 Day Shred for exercise, 20 minutes every day. Does not seem to have affected my losses, and I have to admit, although I'm not a great exercise fan,(hence being here LOL) I do feel better for doing it.

Hi Lucylis and welcome - hope the start goes OK for you - I quite like all the flavours except vanilla and butterscotch (too sweet) and the soups are OK - have not tried the porridge as I can't stand real porridge so can't think CD is nice, but thats just me!! Bars are good for when I really...

Hi Adipose - Its the Jilliam Michaels fitness DVD from "Biggest Loser" - bought it on Amazon for about £5 - lots of posts on here about well it works if you do a search - I like it 'cos it's only 20 minutes so is a bit easier to fit in than an hour or a class which is near impossible where I...

Room for a " large" one??

Hi Zanny welll done on day 1 - it does get better!!. As a tip I think Illa's comments about really appreciating the mouthfuls of food you do have is a good thing - the allowance on SS+ is not much I'm guessing, (I'm just doing SS) so have to make the most of it. If you do a search on something...
  25. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

And that's just 1lb for me too if I use my official CDC weight - LFC what about your loss? On the bright side, for the loss so far (2lb) thats the same as a bag of sugar! (which I think sounds much more positive LOL :).
  26. Skippydog

    happy, happy, happy!

Hi Mollydog - well done you. I had to go to a nibbles do and just got a few things on a plate and put it down, no-one noticed I didn't actually eat anything - when people said "aren't you eating" I could just say - Oh yes that's my plate over there and it was no big deal!! Also very popular...

Hi everyone - bit dissapointed with my weight loss last night :break_diet:- only 1 lb according to my CDC, (but 4 according to me in the morning so thats good) 1/2 inch off everywhere though, so maybe I have a week of weight and a week of inches!!. Room for a " large" one??

Bluedress, BabyPat, Sammy 2 , Majella (anyone else I have missed from this thread?!!) - do you want to join up?. If we are just posting totals I don't think it matters how many - just anoher way of spurring each other on. Team names - how about "The Goalies"?
  42. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

OK then - so if everyone PMs me their weight loss I guess it doesn't matter when you are weighed if you use the last loss?. I'll add it up and post the total, we can maybe do a target as well? for the month or something. Start on 1st Sept them would be a handy start, so if I have weight losses...

Room for a " large" one??

Hi all - I have read the "rules"about teams posted at the front ofthe CD teams thread, but I did note that they were posted in January 2010 so seem a bit out of date now? Am I looking in the wrong place? If not is seems having a weekly weigh in and a "challenge" seems to have died a bit of a...
  44. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

Hi everyone - I thought we had to add all our losses together each week to see who was at the top of the "looser" table? - I think that's why the actual numbers are limited to 6 so it's fair, iotherwise it's lovely to support as many people as possible. We will have to say what day we all get...
  45. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

  47. Skippydog

Newbie - First time on CD - Buddies

Hi everyone - I think everyone has doubts about whether they are doing the right thing - it seems quite drastic not to have food when we are in this position from letting food get the better of us for so long, but I have to say I am in week 3 now and finding it quite liberating not to have to...

Hi Lfc - yes is difficult when people are disapproving - is hard enough anyway!. Room for a " large" one??

Morning all, hope everyone feeling Ok this morning - Bank Holdiay weekend looming which normally means barbeques and social things, so wondered how everyone was coping with that- are you telliing people about the diet or just "avoiding" social situations where not eating would be obvious?

  54. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

Well done you!! - it does help having a CDC you can trust. Is still quite a new relationship for me and not really had any difficulties yet, I think that's when the cards are really down and you need that extra support - part of the reason for being on here too I guess!

Hi all the newbies, hope you are doing OK. Room for a " large" one??

Hi Lfc - have to look at my other thread about jumping on and off the scales - is killing me!!, is funny how motivating it is some days and horrible others, almost like its so fast we expect the scales to have moved every time we get on!!
  59. Skippydog

Room for a " large" one??

Hi everyone - sounds like we are all in a similar position so if we use this thread as a little group to support each other?. 2nd weigh in last night, only lost 2lbs and no inches so gutted as have stuck 100% but wonder if am due TOTM, seems like a hell of a lot of effort for just that, so had...

Shall I put the scales away?

Thanks everyone - glad it's not just me!!. I think what Girlygirl said is what I'm worried about - how much no loss or gain will affect my mood. I'm going to move them out of the bathroom at least and then I will have to think twice about just hopping on, and see how it goes. Maybe waiting for...

Shall I put the scales away?

Hi - could do with a bit of avice - my CDC asks me not to weigh myself until I go for my official weigh in. My scales at home show me the same as her, so I can't seem to help but get on the scales every day:wave_cry:!. As this is my second week I am still loosing, but think this can't be a very...

  65. Skippydog

Wish me luck 1st day today. :)

Hi Blue*eyes, Ive just doen my first week, 4 packs mix of soup and shakes. It's been OK but also feeling tired, not much energy which I hoep will wear off as I want to increase exercise levels. Thinking about starting...

Hey riotgrrl how are you getting on after day 1?. Have done a week now and lost 6lb after day 6 - was a bit disappointed (silly I know but when you see some people lost 10 or 12lb!!) but have stuck 100% and generally feeling OK if a bit tired. Let us know how you are finding it
  67. Skippydog

    Thinking about starting...

Thats so true - it's what I like about this diet, I find with other diets I have just got fixated on what I can and can't eat and I'm sure that can't be a healthy approach. Going for my 1st weigh in tonight (6 days) so will see if it shows on the scales!
  68. Skippydog

    Thinking about starting...

Hi - into my first week and I'm glad I did it, like lots of others on here. My OH finds it hard to understand too but it is important to have them on your side, otherwise your social life becomes too much of a problem (as in "well one night off won't do you any harm...")
