So glad you posted your weight lost. I too have had two really bad weeks and was just about to skip over this week when I show your post. When I jumped on the scales it wasn't quite the tragedy I was expecting, (but not good either:break_diet:)
Thanks, now back on the wagon :wavey:
May I join this thread ladies? Was doing really way before the summer and got down to the 11 stone thread. Then I lost the plot. Really focused now so hoping to work my way back down, again!!
So starting at 12st 4lb
Hello, May i join? I have put on nearly a stone over the summer and am struggling to get it off. Have really lost my focus and this would be a get way of getting back on the wagon. So will go for 20lbs and see how I get on.

Hi Dreamslim
Just come back from holiday so need to really get back into routine. I would really like to join you and work towards a goal. Will keep an eye on this tread to see what's happening.
Hi knimmykins2008 finished couch to 5k about month ago and did a 5k parkrun in liverpool in 33 mins was thrilled. Am now trying to improve time to under 30mins then might look at 10k after the summer. This time last year couldn't have run for 5 mins so really pleased. Have been looking at your...
2 lbs on last night so not too bad. It was lovely and sunny this morning and rain kept off long enough for my run so back on the wagon. Feeling much better now :)
Hello All
Just come back for holiday and not looking forward to weigh in tonight. Hay hoe
Hoping to run tomorrow but looking at the forecast may go to the gym and run on the treadmill :(
If you are doing bootcamps and running I wouldn't worry about the distance. I am sure if you have a good few days rest before you have a go at a 5k you will be fine :)
Hi Pepsi and Kimmykins! You've definitely done the hardest bit just by starting :) Keep with it and you will be fine.
I have just started the W1D2 of the get a faster 5K for the third time in 2 weeks OMG this is it I am defo going to crack it this week. I just haven't been able to get my head...
Have a look and see if there is a park run by you. When I went they were very supportive and even cheer you round the course, I think only the ones at the back but it did make me feel better!
They run every week so can try to improve your time. Anyway, if you google parkrun you can have a...
Just done the park run 5K :bliss:
Haven't got official time yet but around 35mins I think. So Pleased. So will now try to get a bit faster and see if I can improve my time.
lost 1.5 lbs this week, now weigh 11st 7.5lbs. Really chuffed slowly but steadily seem to be working my way through this thread. Was starting to lose motivation, think it was possibly the miserable weather.
I know it's a bit worrying. Not sure whether I will be able to run faster :(
Anyway we will see just hope I don't embarrass myself. Will let you know how long it takes.
:superwoman:Have done week eight day one to the count down to discovery takeoff for background music to my couch to 5k. Really bizarre.
Anyway chuffed at being able to run 30mins non stop.
Haha half term is a killer for the old weight lose but it is nice to loosen the reins a little. Hopefully some lovely spring weather will help us stay focused :)
Evening all, weighed in at 11st 9lb put on half a pound, better than I was expecting, been on half term holidays. Hoping to have a better week this week ie not as much wine! Not as much fun I know!!
You can down load the running mate app to play over your own music. I have no idea what that entails but I have heard it referred to when I listen to the 5K podcast. I think there are others apps similar to this but this is the only name I know.
Been away for a couple of days and everyone seems to have been very busy! Well done all.
Just finished week 7 day 2. The weather is definitely getting warmer way-hay!! Looking OK for week 8. I have registered with park run so I can see if I am running any where near 5K after I have done week 8.
Hello haven't clocked in for a little while. WI in the morning instead of evening and lost 1.5 lb to get to 11st 8.5lb. Hoping to keep this weight and not put on next week when back to normal class. We can only hope :)
1.5 off for me this week which is better than I was expecting. So nearly got to target :)

Oh migraines are awful :( hope your better now.
Yeh sometimes my weeks covered 10 days?? doesn't matter, we get there in the end.
The week eight on mine is just 30mins running. There is a week 7 supplementary that breaks it up a bit. Might do that and then look to get a bit quicker after week...
Ok thanks. Good luck with new job hope all goes well. I am really looking forward to some nice weather its been baltic here. I am sure it will be more pleasant running when it is a little brighter and warmer. We'll see
Hi welshtiger I think it is called running mate. I thought it was nine weeks but it is only eight. Totally confused. Anyway they also do a 10k plan. Thought I might try that. Have you done that kind of distance you seem to have been running for a while?
Week 6 Day 3 done. Man definitely says leave an hour for week 7. Not sure whether to be excited or be dreading it. Will report back soon on progress (or lack of .....)
1 lb off for me this week. Going in the right direction :)

i started out running at about 7.2 and stayed at that for ages. Gradually worked the speed up. Now I can comfortably run above 8 but that has only been in the past week or so. How is you running going? is it better going at a slower pace?
Have done W5D3 not too bad but I have done all my runs on the treadmill this week, I usually do at least one outside. But it has been soooo cold :gen125:
Anyway bring on week 6 and i might try to run outside this week.
I am on week five day 2 and for the first time i ran at 8 for the last run. Was made up.
In the past i have run at around 7.4 to 7.7. Maybe you are right, try a bit of a slower pace and see how you feel.
Good luck
I too am joining the "not had a good week club", but I did enjoy it.
STS this week, will do better next week. MandyD is right lets not beat ourselves up if we take a bit longer to get to our target, the important thing is too get there in the end :)
OMG away for the weekend and lots seems to be happening. The fine weather will be here before we know it and it will be lovely to be able to run outside. Don't forget you can always repeat a week if you need to.
Sounds like a plan. Good for you!
I have been cycling with a local women's group called cycle belles. There seems to be quite a few around the country. If you get the chance you should try it out they are very supportive of new comers.
It is disheartening when you don't get a good weight lose to reflect a week when you have been on plan. I am sure you will have a good lose soon :)
Stick with it
Evening:)

Emsie I don't think there will be many days where the wind will be as hard to run against as today, so well done for running at all!!
and bevhunter change is gradual so I am sure you will be able to do it X
Did W4D2 not too bad but not sure whether I am up to the 8 min run in week 5. Will see how i get on with the third run this week, might do week 4 twice.
Have just done W4D1. Not easy and if that man on the podcast, telling me I only had "two mins more", had been in front of me I think I would have knocked his lights out. But all is forgiven now as I got to the end. Roll on day 2!
Well done you :)
I also prefer running outside. Someone suggested this website to me. I am not quite up running 5K in one go but maybe in the spring I might have a go. There is one not far from me. See what you think!
parkrun events
Everyone is doing so well. I have been ill for the last couple of days and spent the time in bed:(
If its this nice tomorrow will try and run.
Keep up the good work!
Did W3D2 and found it really hard. Think I am coming down with a cold and have lost my voice so putting it down to that!!
Don't worry about week 3 its not as bad as I thought it was going to be, have a go if its no good just do week 2 again:whacky068:
Don't get disheartened. Maybe do just two days each week of Week til you feel you can move onto W2. I am aching in places I had long forgotten about and hoping it will get better in time. We live in hope!! Running hills is much more difficult then on the flat I am sure you would notice a...
I have lost 1lb this week. :)
Not sure whetehr I should have copied the list with the red writing. Am sure if it is not right someone will be kind enough to correct it :wave_cry:

I do find breakfast the hardest. I usually have either omelette with toms, onion and mushroom. Or kippers or baked pots and beans with onion and tom salad. I can eat anything in the morning I know its not everyones cup of tea.
I am so impressed! What a day to start well done you:character00180:
I get the impression that there are lots of variations on the couch to 5k. They ultimately seem to have the same goal. Running 5k in 9 weeks. if that's what your plan is doing we are all aiming for the same thing.
OH is sick on the couch so a taking the opportunity to clear the fridge ready to fill it with lots of nice fruit and veg. Anything with chocolate on is on its way out.:eatdrink051:
Good for you Mrs S :)
I have just done W2D2. Not too bad but not sure how I will get on when I am back at work and everything is back to normal.:chores016:
Having over indulged over the festive season I am going to do this success express starting Wed. Anyone care to join?
Here is an over view from a leaflet I was given in class that was posted earlier this year.
Step 1:- Have 3 meals a day. At each one, fill two thirds of your plate with...
I know how you feel. Everyone else seems so fit and I always feel like an idiot BUT just stick you earphones in and go for it.
I usually start at 6.5ish and run at about 7.2-7.5 its only for a couple of mins and as the time goes on you will find your rhythm. Let me know how you get on.
I started earlier this week and so far so good. I down loaded the music where you are told when to run and when to walk. Going to do day 3 either tomorrow or sat.
I would be interested to know how you get on as it is easy to lose focus and keeping in touch with someone else would be really...
Good Morning and Happy Christmas:)
I too need keep motivated. Will set a challenge of 10lbs but may change this after I have WI on Wed.

Thank you so much. You are a gem.:thankyou:
Have had a busy couple of days but am now back on the wagon. Have been filling up on lots of veg though. So we will see how things go.

Good Afternoon all. Wi last night 1lb off ! Happy days :)
For the ladies who are already missing summer fruit have you tried the frozen summer fruit. Not as cheap or as nice but it is an extra option.
Every one I know seems to have a horrid cold too. I had a day in bed too. Am feeling much better now, a week later.
It's a bummer :sigh: But better now then christmas:rolleyes:
Oh dear! try to speak to your consultant next week. What kind of dinner would you like to have at work? You can usually work it out someway on the plan!
This is such a good idea Heather :)
Asda are doing a fresh veg soup mix that you just add stock to. It is really lovely and so simple to do I have added lentils, tin tomatoes and what ever leftover veg I have.
Good evening all, wi tonight showed +1lb Oh dear:( but was deserved and I really enjoyed it. So will try lots of superfree foods to repair the damage.
upwards and onwards.
Thanks for all your hard work team;0
How well are we doing. I am weighing in tonight but we were partying this week at my daughters 21st. Too much cake and champagne :) so maybe bit off course this week haha
Good morning :)
I have tried this super free soup and really liked it. Do you know any more like this as I find it really good to have soup for my dinner at work.
Soup Super free
1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils
2 can chopped tomatoes
1 can baked beans

Well done on sorting out ticker:o)
Not sure if I am doing the replying bit the right way!! Still some way to go and not just on the weight front but I am sure we will get there in the end!!
Take care
I have been so confused trying to work out how to post on the site and am now delighted I think I have worked out what to do.
So have been with slimming world for about two months now and am the "i've lost a pound this week" Queen. That's ok as long as I can keep it up as my down fall is the...
