For the last year and a half I have been struggling with my weight and body confidence. It all began with moving away from home for university 5 years ago and working shifts for the last 2 years. I have always been a size 10 but in the last year and half I have crept up to a 12 and sometimes size 14 in clothes which has made me feel horrific especially on nights out as all the girls from work are tall and thin where as I am short and chunky.
I attempted SW about a year and a half ago but because of shifts clashing with my saturday group I ended up going it alone for a few weeks but lacked the motivation to keep going. Having finally had enough of hating my body and dreading having to make do with dresses that are black and flowy type dresses which don't do me any favours I rejoined SW 2 weeks ago. At my first group I was the heaviest I've ever been at 11st 10lb but the difference was I came with a new determination that this was for good and mindset I could get back to size 10 with effort. 2 weeks on and I have managed to lose 7lb which I am soo happy with as although not very noticable to look at I managed to get into a pair of size 12 skinny jeans a little tight but I was in them which I hadn't managed before I rejoined.
Like everyone I have little goals in my head I would like to hit, mainly I'd like to lose a decent amount of weight for my birthday in november and not have to wear the usual black loose dresses I have been modelling for the last few months. But if my weightloss slows I won't get disheartened as I want this to be permanent not a temporary weightloss for my birthday or christmas. I feel that if I write down my SW journey here I will stay motivated and be able to recieve support and advice off you lovely lot.
