I'm considering buying this book. Can anyone give me a review, or and ideas as to what it contains or the type of syn values it contains? Or easiness of recipes lol. Is it worth it?

I bought it last time I did SW, and think that it's really worth it and value for money.
The syn values vary from very low to pretty high!
It has all sorts of recipes from jellies and mousses to hot puddings and cakes.
Examples:
baked apricot and macaroni pudding - 2 1/2syns
chocolate and pear pudding - 4 syns
chocolate nest buns - 2 syns
chilled lemon souffle - Free
mock ice cream - Free
Chocolate pudding - 5 syns
Summer pudding - 13 syns!!!

Anyway, there are a lot of free, low syn, medium syn and a couple of high syn recipes.
I have not opened the book for ages. Thanks for the reminder. I am drooling now and will try some stuff!

I'm sure the more inventful amoungst us can come up with free/lowsyn receipes for most desserts if we think about it!

The sugar-free rhubarb mould is nice - half a syn per serving.

I keep meaning to make the pears in cider (Somerset Pears) - sounds lovely.

I have made the Ginger and Pineapple Desert and it was very nice.

Having got the book out, I realise that I haven't used it as much as I should - I must make myself something nice this weekend!

(Trying to make a banoffi pie ("Slimoffi Pie") with All Bran and Dream Topping may just be a step too far!!!)
