1st Day SS on 1/1/11

Well I have started CD today on SS.

I did this once a few years ago for just under 2 weeks, and lost over 16lbs. I remember stopping because I found it so hard not eating or chewing, but the new bars are definitely helping today.

I have had the bar with some tea and spaced it out and that helps a lot. The other thing I notice is the habit of reaching for food and being conscious or self-aware and stopping myself.

I tried the porridge (apple/cinnamon) today and thought it was disgusting, will persevere over the next few days with it.

Good luck anyone else starting today.

It has not been too bad. Being able to have cups of tea with skimmed milk helps break it up a bit. Really want to get through this and see myself at the other end, good luck tomorrow

hi ya i start sole souce tomorrow , im excited as know how much weight u can lost, but ive also just got over the flu and my husband is on my case to get myself 100 per cent has ive not eaten a great deal since being ill, but i see it has a bonus not like im goin to find it hard to go without food if i aint been eatin properly
oo well wish me luck just need to do this diet and be done with diets, ive yo-yo for like 12 years , so no its time to deal with it, i just thinking if i dont put one thing in my mouth while in sole souce i will be fine easier said then done but i believe i can do it good luck all

Hi simmy. It's now 3 weeks into January. How are you doing? I also started on 1st Jan and have lost 10lb so far. I have During this time suffered from a kidney infection and was on antibiotics. I left fine all the way thru, however if you feel you need a bit of a boost stick to protein. Good luck & keep us posted.

please to report im 12 and a half pounds down since 4th jan , so im feeling very pleased with myself ive stuck to it totally only thing im finding hard is drinking the water this week due to it being cold, ive ordered some orange flavour from cc and im sticking to choc mint and banana, so far so good, my cc did say if i felt hunger to have a bit of chicken but to be fair if i feel hungry its more then likely i have forgot to have a shake our i leave it for 15 mins and it passes , hope everyone else is well, and remember we need to stick to this , i dont want to look back in april totally gutted cos i didt stick to it good luck xx:cool::cool:

I think you are all doing a really good job! I am just about to start sole source and i am quite nervous, dreading the hunger pangs!

hi i have just started yesterday and have found it really hard when my family are eating tea. have yous got any suggestions for the shakes etc the only one i have liked so far has been the chocolate mint

Hi Amy hang in there. The rewards are worth it! There a 6 in my family who are very supportive but doesn't make it easy. I compromise by having a tiny bit of dinner with them when I feel like it. Sometimes I have my shake at the table. Love all the flavours with crushed ice sipped thru straw. My partner has soup with me at lunch time which is nice. However, because I'm loving the rewards I don't find it a struggle. Get the diet to fit onto your lifestyle. This makes it easier not to feel deprived. Good luck!!

Hi all

You are all doing so well and very inspirational to hear your stories :) I did CD 2 years ago and I have put some weight on however never finished to my goal so giving it another go. 2nd day on ss and feel okay and still motivated. I have joined this site for some support and also to go through it with others who understand. Good luck to everyone on here... we can do it xx

On day 6 and lost 9lbd by my scales at home, yesterday was my worst day and felt like death warmed up! Headed to bed cox I'd had enough woke up today so so different and ph my god had so much energy! I now believe this can work for me! Found out what I like and don't like packs wise and I'm gonna stick to tetras and try bars next week, easier for me too!

Hi guys, i just started the diet today. I had the mint chocolate shake for breakfast, which i didnt like at all but it filled me up. I had the maple and pecan flavor porridge for lunch which was sweet but better than the shake. Im currenly 13 stone 6lb and 5 ft 1 and my goal is to reach 8 stone.

good luck on your cambridge plan , its so worth the rewards , im like 25 pounds down after 6 weeks so honestly hand on heart its brillant just keep believing u can do it, and your worth it, xxxx
