I feel fine, enjoying the food BUT I know I shouldn't but- I weighed myself the day before I started atkins on Monday and weighed myself today and it appears I've put 2.5lbs on!!!

Is it because I'm eating more? I'm a carb monster and my usual diet consists of pasta followed by pasta. I do only want to lose a stone.
 
Don't weigh constantly!!!! Your body naturally gains/loses a little weight due to what you've eaten/ excersise etc. This means that on a day to day basis your weight can fluctuate by about 2.5lbs everyday. So you need to weigh only once a week or so to give your body time to make the real changes not just see the natural fluctuations. Weigh at the same time of day and wearing the same or similar clothes so as not to add weight.
You will see losses. But weighing constantly and seeing that number go up and down will drive you crazy so step away from the scales!
