I had a sneaky midweek peek on the scales yesterday and to my horror I have put a lb on despite having been really good.
This has prompted me into action, so I got up early this morning and started the 30 day shred. I've never done it before, but heard from lots of people that if you stick to it you can really see a difference.
For anyone who doesn't know the 30 day shred is a 25 minute intense workout that you do daily. You can buy the DVD or it is available on you tube. Basically you do level 1 for 10 days, then level 2 for 10 days and then level 3 for 10 days and at the end of it you can lose up to 20lb, but more importantly you should lose inches from waist, thighs, hips, arms etc and be much more toned. It's based on circuits including strength, abs and cardio. Most people seem to think you don't get a day off, but I also read that you should take a rest day every 7th day. All you need is a bit of space at home and some small weights/dumbbells ( I used can of tomatoes this morning as I didn't want to us the excuse of not having any for not getting started.
I didn't find it as hard as I thought I would, although the abs section was hardest for me. I was trying to pace myself at the start though so I could do it all. I felt so good afterwards I even did a mile on the treadmill, so I might go for it a bit more tomorrow. I'm now at my desk and work and feeling really full of energy, although I'm expecting to feel it all over tomorrow.
Anybody want to join me in doing it for a bit of support, or anybody done it before and can give me any advise?
Thanks x
