30 day shred!

I did 15mins of level 1 yesterday, almost killed me my weights are 3kg (I think) I was really struggling with the weights side of it so maybe they're too heavy, plus I cant bloody find my weights anywhere. Anyway, my legs are absolutely aching and its 25 hours since I did it, like, when I go to sit down I freeze and cant move with pain, its my thighs just above the knee...agony so i'll give it a miss tonight.

Does it really make you put on weight? Is that maybe just for the first few weeks?

No, u don't put on weight not fat anyway. But you are toning x I don't use weights lol x

The first time I did it I couldn't move .!! It rues get easier :) honest x :-D

Lol I had to fall onto toilet as couldn't lower myself x
 
My thighs are a little painful!

I have to do cheat jumping jacks as my pelvic floor isn't what it used to be after two children!
I weighed the bean tins they are only 1lb each so need some 2lb ones x
 
I didn't find I gained weight from it, I know sore muscles can weigh heavier at first but I think generally when you get fitter and stronger your metabolism gets fired up so you burn fat more effectively anyway. I think I didn't want to over eat after doing the shred because I knew how hard I'd worked and didn't want to waste my good work!!!

I was just like this abs I have been doing a class that's very like shredding fur 9 years and I run ... But the shred rendered me incapacitated :)

Wow thanks for the pics - very inspirational!!!

I've got to about day 5 a good few times now, but always given up just as it gets easier!! It's a really good workout that really shows results - I need to get my bum in gear and start it again - this time complete it!!!
 
iv started today,also got a new rowing machine too so did 10 mins on there (65cals) and 30ds (205 cals) So I got good burns today! Iv started it 3/4 times and never get to level 2 so as a challenge im doing it 30 days straight and I will do it! I need to lose an inch or two for valentines day!
 
I used my new HRM for my bodytune class .. Burned 353 cals :)

I do love my class as its the same sort of stuff as 30ds ..!! It's why I love the shred.. My class instructor keeps saying "you can't buy this workout" when I'm at bodytune ..!!! I keep wanting to tell him we can with the 30day shred lol ..!!
 
I'm still in agony 2 days later, can hardly walk up the stairs or sit on the toilet, I think im too unfit for this.

The pain does go, I promise! I was the same for the first two days but by the third and forth time it was much better.
Have you done it two days in a row or had a break
 
I'm 15 days into the 30 day shred so halfway through level 2. I started on boxing day and I have decided to do it every day with 10 days at each level. I'm doing it to try and tone up really. I considered myself quite fit (can run 10 miles) but I still ached like mad for the first few days. I found it so difficult to stand up/sit downwalk upstairs/walk in general!. I clearly was using muscles I hadn't done before. But I haven't skipped a day and although the work out is still really intensive I do not ache afterwards. I find the cardio bits quite easy but the strength bit I find very diffcult. There is no guidance on how heavy the weights should be. I use 2.5 kilo (5.5lbs) weights and boy do my muscles burn!

Woah this is awesome. I am trying to make it 30 days too! Currently on Day 4 so a while to go! I'm doing other kinds of exercise on the weekends.

I am exactly the same- the strength is sooo hard I actually look forward to the cardio - although I live in the upstairs flat so I am sure downstairs doesn't even though I try and keep of the creaky floorboard.

P.s. You are hardcore doing it with 5.5lb weights! Mine are 2lb pilates weights and that is hard enough!!
 
Im using 3.5kg weights at the moment, but I have been using a kettlebell for a few weeks thats 7.5kg so I guess I can take more weight. Iv just done day 2 and am trying to get it done in 30 days. I have a pair of size 10 jeans that I WILL fit into for my birthday on april 12th. Their pale leopard print coloured skinny jeans that get stuck at the tops of my thighs! Size 12s used to do that so I know I can do it. Just need my big bum out the way lol!
I did 30ds, 5 mins rowing and a Denise Austen workout from youtube. It was only 12 mins long but burned 98calories so quite good, I was sweating so bad after all that! Tomorow il shred then thats it
 
Woah!! Maybe I am just a wuss- do you find the squat and press hard with those weights? and the lunge thing at the end where you bring it up to your eyeballs? Oww!
