Love the cake eating competition - I hate those dreams where I've eaten, I feel so so guilty, probably feel a lot more guilty after those than I would if I'd actually eaten!

I avoided a massive buffet yesterday in the office - was all laid out on the table next to me and if I'm honest it was easier than I would have thought it had been ---- was funny though watching people keep going back to it as I knew that if it weren't for this diet it so would have been me!

Need to be sure to keep stocked with water over the weekend, this is where I usually struggle - it's so much easier to keep topped up when I'm in work.

Got our sons new girlfriend coming for dinner this evening - she's going to find it mighty strange when I don't eat with them so that should be fun ;)

day 35... one more day until we are into week 6!
wow wow wow, never actually believed i would've lasted this long.

half a lb off again today so hopefully 27/28lbs total for tomorrow w.i.
bit narked, 1st time round i lose 28lbs in 4 weeks so its a whole week slower this round, ggrrrr!

less than a week til i have 2 days off plan so gonna go hell for leather on the water front in preparation! maybe if i am throughly hydrated i wont gain so much water... prob clutching at straws but one can hope!

not too worried about the next week, the weeks so far have been a breeze and i am enjoying it rather than begrudging it. went bowling last night and had 3 pints of water! nearly asked for a diet coke but managed to say no.
forgot to add on this thread that i am a (recovering) diet coke addict and not touched it since i started this so its a big step for me!

anyway off to fill my water up and get glugging the warm orangey stuff!

Hey gang,

I am in the overweight category as if this morning on my Wii!! Yippee!! It is wierd actually because I had a night our with my friends yesterday and actualy had some wine and some carbs! First time since I started. But somehow I am still mildly in ketosis this morning and lost 2ibs overnight! Bet it will catch up with me tomorrow!

The weeks are flying by aren't they! I have a planned break on 18 and 19th for my birthday and can't wait too! Have a lovely day hun xx
 
Hi all - it's great to hear everyone being so positive. I've been away for the weekend and feeling down because I am losing a bit slower than last time (so I know how you feel CD08) and really fancied going out to our favourite place for dinner last night. However, managed to drop that thought and had a night in with a black coffee and a chopped up CD bar :)

Never mind, end of week 5 already - seven more days and we be halfway to 12 weeks. Woo woo
 
Good evening all i am restarting today only short term as only the last few pounds to go.

been 100% but in bed with a stomach ache after eating my 200kcal meal.

any ideas y maybe? it's just knocked mr back feel grumpy now lol.
had me 3 tetra's so not such. any way just thinking about first wi day.
 
week 6!!!!!!!!

i am 27lbs down (ggrrrr wanted to hit 28lbs...).

no sign on totm, usually see some signs on sat/ sun and say hello to it monday morning, but nowt so far!

looking forward to my days off sun/ mon but that will not let my willpower slide this week. i shall be good right up until sun morning and weigh in a day early.

ONE POUND - I know (before someone say it) better off than on - but it registered on WEDNESDAY for Heavens sake - so I cannot even change my ticker.

Haven't been to the loo - I was so quick to say earlier in the thread I didn't have that problem this time (and I didn't touch wood) so I guess I had that coming :) However, in saying that, I don't feel the need - just not been so I guess I am lucky.

Still not drinking enough most of the time - especially since I cut back on the summer berry. Someone suggested halving the packs so I am going to try that, and I am also going to force myself to do some exercise.

Felt awful after weighing this morning, but brightened up during the day - convincing myself IT HAS TO GO - it cannot not on this input. boo hoo

Well done to everyone else.

Took longer than expected but hey ho its done now and onto the next 2 now :eek:

5 days until my planned break and really wanna get another 3lbs off before we go.
So got no time to waste this week... glug glug glug!!!!

Hi Ladies, hope you are all well today.

I am well and truly counting down the days until Valentines Day!!!
My planned day off is only 4 days away. I am going to be 100% angelic right up until Sunday morning post-wi.

Normally my 'holiday-mode' accidentally begins a few days before a holiday starts but not this time! 2 days off plan means 2 days only!

Then I will be jumping back on the wagon for another 6 weeks. I just hope the 2nd '6 week chunk' flies by like the 1st one has.

Right time for my 1st carton and my 2nd pint of warm water...

Sounds like you have a firm plan CD08 and I really believe that is the way forward. If I leave things "open" I tend to end up all over the place especially when it comes to what I am going to eat. Think that's one of the good things about this diet - you know what you can have - end of.

Been much cheerier the past couple of days after last weeks single pound - the main reason being that I'd lost two on Tuesday morning.

Need to give my speadsheet a miss for a while though, constantly comparing this time with previous efforts and this is much slower than either of the other two. Keep telling myself that 24lb is great for just over five weeks.

Last time I did CD, we got a new puppy (golden retriever) at the point I had lost 10lbs and he weighed - guess what - 10lbs - carrying him around before his vaccination made me think about how much ten pounds really weigh (if that makes sense) so guess I need to think of that when I am saying, or thinking, "only" 24lb.

Another thing I was thinking about is total weight loss - as in over multiple attempts. Scary stuff :)
 
Day 38 (of 84)... so almost half way and wahooo im half way to goal.
29lbs down with 29lbs to go!!!!!!!

Had a great day yest, even had a bar (my 2nd in 6 weeks!) for tea and still lost a lb. I always feel a little bit guilty after having a bar instead of a shake. Weird... Maybe cos its like 'eating'.

So hoping to be 31lbs down for Sunday. Aim is to get another 2 off by then. Fingers crossed.

Nelli, its awful isnt it when you think of the 'total' amount of weight lost overall in your attempts at ss and any other diet in fact. Mine would be about 10 stone +. Gosh!

Will be doing some baking later, valentines day cookies for family to be precise. Just got to find a really easy fool proof recipe (never made cookies before as Millies cookies are 'alright' lol). Wish me luck as I am no Nigella!

The social invitations are starting to pour in... aarrgghhhh... what to do! I have managed to avoid things so far as Jan was fairly quiet for everyone we know but now peeps are coming out of hiding and ending their detox diets! Damn... I will resist, only 6 weeks to go!

Well my night out with the girls on saturday night came back and bit me in the a***e. I was a bit ill when I got bakc that night so when I woke up in the morning I had dropped 2ibs. The body beingt he amazing thing it is then hung on to every bit of water I drank on sunday so by monday morning I had put on 4ibs....so

Sat 14.3
Sun 14.1!!!
Mon 14.5!! serious water retention!!

I am now back down to 14.1 and my WIs are on saturdays now so really hoping to be 14 which would mean a 3ibs loss. It is not amazing but good enough for this week.

CD08 your losses have been amazing! I have lost 21ibs in the same period of time. We are all doing well though. My 2 day planned break for my birthday is next week thurs/fri - kind of looking forward to it and kind of dreading it at the same time if you know what I mean. I think I might just stay off the scales completely for about 3 days to get my body back into balance again. What do you think? CD08 what are you doing about weighing yourself after your break at the end of the week. It may be disheartening to see the scales jump up after the break even though we know why don't you think?

Hiya, well i am weighing on sunday 14th (before the potential gain!) and then again on Tuesday 16th and again every day.
BUT i will not be adjusting my ticker to show the gain! I will just carry on until i am lbs down from Sundays w.i and then amend ticker.
My official w.i is mondays so the following Monday 22nd all will be back to normal and a loss showing touch wood!
Enjoy your days off and like you I am soooo excited but soooo worried at the same time! I want to get back on the wagon on Tuesday but dreading it! :mad:

Another pound down this morning - am I hoping for too much that I can make it another three by Monday to get the 2 stones in 6 weeks? Probably, but will try anyway.

Nelli, maybe you will get a whoosh like i did last week after taking movicol. Could you be constipated or retaining water perhaps?
Try to drink as much as poss and I really hope you good loss come Monday.

Thanks CD08 - I think the difference must be that I am drinking much more water than I have been since the start. Feel less hungry too. Still I cannot wait for this to be over, though the other twice, by the time I got past the first few weeks, I really didn't bother. Guess every time is different, but I don't plan to get any more experience - finish this and THAT IS IT :) :)

PS The real Nelliduff is on a diet too - she was "done" last June cause we have two male goldens too - and the poor thing got fat. She gets plenty of exercise and we cut the food back to no available. No she is not on CD :) but we did get some specialist low cal dog food for her and that seems to be doing the trick.

Obviously I need to update my tracker and stuff, I'm not aiming to get to 6 stone or anything!
