Just to let you know, I have registered my interest for this fun run later this year, I might as well raise some money for charity and have the fear of my bum wobbling all way round if I don't get into shape!
Let me know if anyone else is planning this - my trainer at the gym is going to do me a training programme as I can't run 100m at the moment!
If anyone has any charity suggestions - please let me know!

Hi

Congrats on the brave step. I have just registered for Run Ireland in April so start with the gym tomorrow. Check out taketothestreets.org, i've just downloaded a programme from them. And also kineticideas.co.uk which is a website by a guy who has trained runners for years; you can sign up for motivational emails.

I'm thinking of doing it for St. Lukes which is a cancer treatment centre in Ireland largely funded by charity and which looked after my parents so I have a personal interest. Maybe you could find some charity that has touched you in some way? I guess a personal connection to it may motivate you more.

Carr :)

How strange - I had decided to do mine for St Luke's in Sheffield who looked after my great nan. I guess the more involvement that I have with the charity, the more motivated I will be.
I'll take a look at the sites you mentioned, they might be a help to me.
Thanks!
