one life only
I have such a mixture of emotions today. I've just had my final weigh-in before refeeding and can't help feeling a bit proud of myself for staying 100% for 226 days and reaching my target. I never thought this day would come but it has actually flown by so, for those of you with a lot to lose like me, just enjoy the journey and celebrate every pound lost and every drop in size. I've lost 8 stone in nearly 8 months which is just what they recommend and I feel fantastic!
I'm excited but terrified about eating again and I'm sure that all of you yoyo dieters out there can understand that. I feel sad to leave the 'safety' and certainty of LT but also this wonderful forum. No matter how supportive my friends and family have been, it's only really you guys that understand the highs and lows and those difficulties and feelings of failure associated with desperate dieting. We all know how it feels to succumb to temptation and how miserable it makes you feel afterwards; to try on clothes that look awful but 'feel comfy' and to hate yourself when you look in a mirror.
We have supported each other through thick and thin (pardon the pun!) and I will miss you all but I will be maintaining on The Harcombe Diet which is on another forum. The sun is shining now so I'm off to the beach for a swim - something I have dreamed of doing all year. I just wanted to wish you all the luck and strength in the world. You can do it!
