WORRIES over what to eat when trying to lose weight have been eased thanks to a Yeovil butcher.
The Sizzling Sausage Company in Middle Street has produced a new porker that will not dash diet plans.
Proprietors Pat Stokes and Tim Roper are proving slimmers need not have to munch lettuce leaves and raw carrots to stay trim.
The pair from Gillingham have created a sausage that has been approved by Slimming World. Two sausages are equivalent to half a syn, a unit of food measurement used by Slimming World which suggests members are allowed between five and 15 syns a day.
The duo were approached by Slimming World consultant Shelley Lawrence, who wanted something tasty that would not pile on the pounds.

She used to weigh 19 stone 1lb but has lost more than nine stone, and runs a group at Marian Hall, Yeovil, on Tuesdays.
The butchers said they used a quality cut of meat to create the low-fat sizzlers.
Mr Roper, 41, said: "We can now look at making burgers and other recipes. I wouldn't think our other sausages have that high a syn rate anyway but slimmers can have two of these with as much vegetables and potatoes as they like and know it only classes as half a syn towards their daily total."
Samples were sent for tests in Taunton and, once the fat and nutrients content was calculated, a certificate stating the syn content was passed on to the slimming organisation.
Slimmers from groups in Yeovil, Wincanton and Somerton are now travelling to the butchers for the pork and apple and pork and herb sausages.
