apparently long term ketosis is very bad for your liver and kidneys, but then smoking is bad for your lungs and i still do that ha ( bad habit i know) ive had a little word with myself and been obese is probably just as bad for my health - must stop reading these things - x

Jasmine, whatever you do in life someone, somewhere will say that it's bad for you! Like you say, you still smoke despite the (unrefutable) evidence as to how bad it is for you.......I take it that you're a sensible, educated woman? in which case let common sense prevail! You're not planning on being in ketosis for the rest of your life are you? Of course not, just long enough to get back to a sensible weight.....good luck x

Getting to a reasonable BMI is going to do you much more good in the long term than a few weeks or months of LT dieting.

Good luck and keep on the wagon. ( whoops that sounds abit like AA :D )
