A question for a newbie

    Is it ok to mix psyllium husk into shakes to help with fibre and keeping things 'regular'?

    I've taken it in food etc on low carb diets as I'm prone to such things!!!

    I'm not sure about the husks but on wk4 I had awful problems resulting in a trip to the hospital. Since then I've been taking a Colax aloe Vera colon cleanse tablet daily from holland&barret and things are very regular! :)

    sorry I dont know the answer to your question as I have no problems in that department in fact mine goes the other way - just cos I have to be different!! - but hopefully someone will be along soon who knows x

    was cambridge now exante
    just dont leave the shake sitting around with the powdered husks mixed in, can go a tad sludgy
    i used to take pysillium in capsule form from holland and barratt

    Thanks for the info. I will keep doing this as I think higher fibre content is good for the tummy!
