I remember when they first came out they had dodgy straps, my son was playing on the wii at my mums house and the strap broke - the controller sailed across the room and just skimmed the top of my step dads brand new tv - phew!!!

Flipping heck, close shave that was eh! I didn't get the Wii when it first came out, got it about a year after that so I didn't have any of the dodgy straps trouble but I have heard of it. I have to admit, I love my Wii, I'm a right geek
