Abi's weightloss diary - post jaw surgery

oh my god oh my god oh my god.

i've just been going through our wedding savings and general costings, and the additional money we've had to pay our recently has hit us hard. i have no idea how we are ever going to be able to save enough. i can feel a panic attack coming on!!

i just don't know what to do!!

at this rate nobody is going to have flowers. we're all going without. we were going to put a couple of bottles of wine on every table but i think i'm going to not do that now, although people will get champers for the toasts, i'm not going to have any jewellery. i can't afford to get the bridesmaids presents and everyone is going to be wearing school shirts!!

oh god oh god oh god oh god.

Hi abz, sounds like you're having a panic attack. Sit back and take a deep breath love.

It always does love, I can recall Carol and Jamie having major panic attack before they got married, it all worked out tin the end.

one option would be to take a mortgage break but i really want to avoid that if at all possible... but i really don't think it's possible :( and it would add another £600 odd quid onto our mortgage. and the sodding thing never ever ever seems to bloody go down.

i asked them to tell me how much capital i pay off a month. £75!! we pay around £650 a month and £75 is paying off capital. and banks are going bust!!?! aaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Oh i know abz, mortgages can seem like an anchor around you neck, then one day years on suddenly you realise that it's nearly all paid and done for love.

That's exactly the kind of thing :) i could get something like that without flowers on. will see what the florist can come up with though i think.

i love it though :) i've added it to my weddings websites. thank you honey...

our mortgage still has 32 years to run jim. no wonder if we're only paying off 75 quid a month. at the end of june it drops onto the basic rate. but knowing my luck that will skyrocket in the next month and the payments will go up... :(

no worries, i liked it as you can have the red colour to tie in with your dress etc.xx

dont panic hun , all will be beautiful im sure.xx

i totally agree su. will see what florist comes up with as they were going to add the same flowers to a wand for £11, but if it looks naff then that will be the one i get. same price and it matches nicely :)

well. current update.

don't have to do buffet in evening. hall has agreed it's ridiculous for them to hold me to that stipulation of contract for 10 extra people. £500 off.

could potentially not give people complimentary wine. £200 off. people would of course get bubbly for speeches.

veggi options are charged at the same rate as meaty option which i think is rather cheeky, so no savings there like i thought.

bridesmaids have offered to buy me my wedding jewellery as my wedding pressie. so now i feel like a total pauper. i need to buy them their pressies though.

oh crap. just realised. favours. ah well. i was going to get sunflower seeds and ask everyone to plant them in memory of my grandma. so that's cheap, ha.

heartrate has slowed slightly. still in slight panic.

at least a mortgage break would probably cover the difference now if needs be.

Oh bless you Abz!

We did had a bowl of sweets on our tables as favours bought in bulk tres cheap! We also did little quizzes for the tables which went down really well & cost next to nothing!

It'll all work out babes... I know it probably doesn't feel like that right now but you will find a way. xxx

lots of (((hugs))) Abz!

You willl get there. I am sure :)

The sunflower seeds( planted in memory of your grandma) sound a lovely idea for favours :) I am sure it willl all be fine on the day...and your guests wll be non the wiser as to any cut backs you have made :)

How many guests have you got coming?

Love Nas x

about 75 i think nas. a lot less than originally anticipated, ha.

have found wedding cake in asda. two tier cake will cost about £20, rather than the three tier i would have needed (but the numbers are smaller so only need two now) which would have cost £200...

bon is checking out wedding cake toppers for me at the mo. hopefully another saving of £150 if the cake doesn't taste bloody awful. of course if i'd known that they did wedding cake before... good job i didn't really or i would have spent the savings somewhere else i'm sure, ha.

oh n Abz, there is a shop in our local market Market that specializes in cake stuff. I have previously been in and they've made me silk flower cake toppers for like 12.00, you choose what ya want on it and they make it up for you. ( a few years since i last went but cant be that much more expensive)

must be something like that in Leeds Market too or i'm not too far and you do want to meet for coffee sometime!

ha. we will meet one day nas!!

yeah. i've been thinking about looking on the cake stall places in leeds indoor market. may have a rootle tomorrow when we're buying rings, waistcoats, shirts, and something else that i currently can't remember, ha.

I got a silk flower cake topper off ebay for my mum and dads ruby wedding ani cake last year, it looked lovely on a plain white iced fruit cake.x

am not too worried about the cake topper. i'll find something cheap and cheerful i'm sure...

i'm truly starting to hate this wedding. i mean, i'm not. and i know they are always stressful to organise. but life giving us a bit of a break every now and again would be nice :)

should have run off to jamaica...
