Managed to get a shopping delivery booked for today so will have some low carb options once it has arrived!! The cupboard is bare at the moment... thankfully I'm not hungry yet & have downed my first litre of water so far! x

well done you!! i need to go food shopping. keep having to nip to the teeny tesco to get top up things and it's costing a fortune!! still, the longer i do this the less i eat so it should get cheaper, ha.

good afternoon everyone. it's my day off today, and it turns out that it's thomas's as well. he got a metal shaving in his eye somehow and didn't realise. during the night it got really irritated and he couldn't keep his eyes closed or open because it hurt so much so it was off to a and e. they spent a while getting most of it off and now he has some antibiotic cream to put in which seems to sting like hell. you've got to feel bad for the guy.

needless to say, a little pooped today. am just having a mushroom omelette for my lunch and then i'm off out to meet a friend for a coffee, or a fizzy water, green tea, whatever

HI Jim, OZ is going great! Still winter but no real rain this year which we desperately need.

Abz and Linz you appear to be going well on Atkins. This year is still going to be our year I think. What do you say?!!!

i totally agree bren.

today i feel really peculiar. i feel like i can't move my body, it feels like it's made of lead. i feel fine, not ill at all, but so lethargic...

thomas's eye is still sore. he was thinking of going back to work today but his eye is really light sensitive and if he had to drive i don't think it would go too well. he wanted to drive me to work and he managed that ok but said it was sore. he's at the eye clinic tomorrow and then hopefully back to work on friday. he doesn't get sick pay so every day he's off the poorer we get. it sucks.

Morning abz, poor Tomas love. Sounds like a bit of Atkins flu to me.

Bren, this is a long running drought isn't it love. I was reading last year about problems in the Murray-Darling river basin.

but surely i would be through atkins flu now jim? i'm on day 10, i'm in ketosis, and i don't feel ill, just heavy... but in a different way to usual

Jim yeah you are right a very long running drought. Nation wide actually! Some states are promoting 4 min showers and if you have a garden you can only water it on 2 days of the week for 10 mins.

Abz i must say when I did atkins if I ate too many eggs I got this feeling? Not sure if that helps.
