Activity points.... to eat or not to eat?

Loulabella

Gonna be skinny!
Just wanted to know people's views on AP's. Thus far have 13 this week and have not exchanged any for food. I earnt 2 AP's today and for the week am -2.5 pts over on food.... so, wanted to know, instead of scraping back the 2.5 tomorrow, could I just exchange the 2 I have earnt and only being like half a point over? Will it affect my loss? Do people who earn AP's and eat them still loose an ample amount?

Thanking you....

Hi

I try not to eat mine as I don't seem to lose as much when I do - but will use them if I have to for a night out etc, and I'll still lose or at least sts - which before I did the exercise and just went over the points I'd put on.

Twigs

Hi i usually earn 25-30 AP's every week.
I dont use mine either but if i do fancy a treat i know i can have one without feeling guilty.
Doesnt really answer your Q really does it?
xx

i eat mine if i find i feel the need to.. think it was Guru Rosie said her leader advised if you do exercise you class as high intensity that you should eat the points you earn from that, and not anything low or medium intensity.. if that makes sense.

Liking the guru title, Rach - keep it up!!!

you are very right. She said that if you are doing high intensity exercise (getting very out of breath and sweaty in a short time) then its best to eat them (max of 12 per week as your body will be using loads more fuel and may wonder why you are starving it. Other points its best to just use to accelerate your weight loss.

for this particular problem - I guess it depends on how much you want to lose this week...again, no real help at all!!! x

I normally don't eat mine unless I am out and I use them together with my saved points.

I think it is individual thing with eating AP and you will need to experiment for few weeks to see how your body reacts. I have noticed that sometimes people when exercises a lot and save AP points loose weight slower and when they start eating some of AP weight loss speeds up.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks people.... my points are all high intensity really....am running now and have noticed n a run day I am hungrier... But I thin Imay have had a sneeky extra bit of something here and there so I am prob going to be ok.... doubt I will go to WI in the morning as it's TOTM and prefer to avoid at all cost when I am on.... :)
