Advent Calendar Girls 10 Week Challenge!

Rubbish! Only half off this week so really falling behind for my aim by Christmas! Huge NSV though is in the 7 weeks I've been on SW I'm two jean sizes smaller! Picked up and fit lovely into an 18 today so very pleased from a size 22!!

Only 3lbs for my 2st award! Wanna bag that this week!

Need a massive kick up the bum if I'm ever going to get to target by Xmas. After we were decorating last week and I'd been having take aways coz couldn't use the kitchen to cook I feel HUGE and still can't be bothered to cook. I had ANOTHER Chinese tonight as I am on night shift and didn't have time to cook (crap excuse) I just feel like I'm losing all motivation. feeling really stressed at the mo as I'm still not pregnant after having 2mc's and what would have been my 2nd babies due date is coming up. probs to much info but needed to let it out! somebody kick me up the bum please!! I have to do this I want to feel amazing in my Xmas dress! Xx

Awww, hunny. I'm down with the night shift thing too. At my place it gets so quiet pretty much the only thing to do to pass the time is eat. I've had about 3 months where mt motivation has been completely shot. Not sure why I couldn't get my head right back into it again. I've only lost 5lbs since the start of August which is very very very slow moving but even when I have bad days I try my best to stick with the plan as much as I can and just allow the binges. If I'd gone for the "bugger it all" option I'm pretty sure I'd be back to where I started again.

You have your focus point already - christmas and your dress. Have you bought the dress already? Or chosen the one you want? It sounds cliched but take a photo of it and print loads off and stick them up at all your danger points..... front of fridge, front of freezer, inside the door of the cupboards, even near the phone you're using to dial for your take aways. Even if it only stops you every other time that's you being 50% better.

I've chosen my dress for christmas already.....

And I know it's one I need a vastly smaller bottom to get away with. I have it as the screen saver on my iphone (which never leaves my hand - even wandering around tesco) and that's my motivation right now.

That and coming in here every day and catching up on everyone (and feeling a little jealous at all the good losses).

It'll come good. You have 7 weeks left until Santa wants to come and fill your stocking. You can do this.
 
I bought my Xmas dress when I bought my Xmas countdown - it's a size 16 which I hope to get into by Xmas day

Love your Xmas dress I'm sure you will look FAB in it :) my motivation (when I can be bothered!) is buying clothes and fitting into things I couldn't at the start of the year. Other thing is 'fat' photos people have tagged me in on fb which I HATE!!! I never want to be like that again!

Here's an arse kick off me! My friend and I had been goin to sw and she reached target and found out she was pregnant on the same day!!! I believe her losing the weight let her body know it was healthy enough to deal with a pregnancy!!

Draw a line under it all and have a grapefruit a day, I swear it helps me! I'm now 5lbs from target!!! :) x
 
I am ecstatic to report 2 1/2lbs off for me!!!! Can't believe it!! Its the grapefruit and the list of superspeed foods in my purse!
It is my birthday today so I shall be having cake and vino so with an incredibly 5lbs off in 2 weeks I shall be happy for a sts next week!
 
half a pound off for me this week, better than nothing, need to get back to weighing and measuring methinks.... xx

Got grapefruit, frozen berries and loads of other fruit & veg.

Ooh hun, perhaps it's the fact you've got so much stress going on in your life that's holding you back from seeing the progress you'd like! But if you really really want this, you'll have to have a word with yourself! I know I'm bonkers but after playing around with the same last 1/2 stone for 8 months and really getting angry with myself for not focusing properly I actually stood infront of the mirror and gave myself a telling off! I then went on to lose every week for 6 weeks running and reached Target!!! X

Well done you that's amazing :) I've just been reading your diary and it seems you work crazy shifts like me! I also work in a hospital and it's KILLING me! I have crazy eating and sleeping patterns and a very stressful job (I work on v busy hospital switchboard/help desk!) I don't have that much to lose maybe another 6-7 pounds and think I will be happy and hopefully get my confidence back.

My main goal at the mo is a surprise 50th birthday party I've organized for my mum in January I want to look amazing for then or at least have a healthy pregnancy.

I'm going to keep looking at your diary as you a great inspiration that it can be done when working crazy shifts!! Xx

Aah bless you!!! Thanks for the vote of confidence!! Well as you can see it has been a rocky journey for me, but I've managed it! The key for me is ensuring I'm mega organised and have all my food lined up for the day ahead! The night before a long day or day before a night shift I try my best to get on here and write my plan for my food diary and stick to it as much as possible! Playing it by ear on long shifts just doesn't work!!! But if I have the syns in the bank I won't hesitate to have a chocolate or 2 or a biscuit if I really fancy it!! I'm not always that good mind you, hence the rocky ride!!! Good luck, I'm sure you'll do it, it's just about taking the rough with the smooth and never ever giving up!! X
