Hi I am doing diet chef at the mo, but cant really afford to have another hamper. So am looking into joining a slimming club to keep on the straight and narrow, and was wondering if someone coule please give me some advice, I have done WW before(core plan) and it worked but counting points for me doesn't. I was wondering what slimming world is about? what is the diet like? how does the plan works? just want a general jist of how it goes. Can anyone please help a fellow dieter???? :D

You basically have 'free' foods that you can eat as much of as you want depending on what 'day' you decide to have. You have 'red' and 'green' days. On a red day you can eat as much meat, fish, poultry, fruit and veg (except peas, sweetcorn and parsnips) as you want without weighing or measuring - so theoretically you can eat a whole chicken if you wanted - pasta, rice, potatoes would have to be in measured amounts. On a green day it's the opposite - you can have as much rice, pasta and potatoes, legumes and pulses as you want and your meat intake would be limited. You have a daily allowance for milk, cheese and fibre (ie, cereal, bread, etc) which all has to be measured. Then you have your 'syns' which are what you calculate for anything other than free food or your daily milk/fibre allowance so that would be for things like chocolate, crisps, etc.

Really, you'd be best off checking out their website as that will probably give you the gist of it!

Hope that helps.

Oh yeah, and the other thing to know is that Slimming World ROCKS!! :D

Hi there.

SW is a much easier plan to follow than WW and if you managed to get through that, you can easily follow SW!
Firstly, can I suggest you have a look at the top of the main SW page and there is an explanation on there about the plans available. Also, have a look at the SW food diaries to get an idea of what kind of things you can eat on the plans. If you then have more questions, please feel free to post and good luck!!!

Another idea may be to buy a magazine as it also features a week's trial menu, which I think the website does also so that will give you an idea of the kind of foods you can eat :)

Desperate to be slim!
I followed the weeks trial menu online before I went to class, and that worked really well for me. It's an Extra Easy plan (Which is SW's new plan)
The website is really helpful and quite easy to use as well.
